Re: NBA Live '05 Beta discussion II
Hi. I have some questions, for those who've played the game.
- There was a bug evident in the Spurs-Rockets game on IGN where a player tried going for a rebound but it went into a blocking animation and he swatted the ball of the rim. And instead of goaltending being called, it counted as a block. This happened in '04 as well. Have you noticed this happening in Live 05?
- Last year, there was an annoying bug where if a player committed a charge on a layup attempt and the layup went it, the basket would actually count. In 1-on-1 mode, this was particularly annoying. Does this still happen?
- I heard that if you get your shot blocked, it still doesn't count as a field goal attempt. This seems fairly trivial to fix, so I was surprised when I was told that this bug is still in the game. Do tip ins count as field goal attempts and offensive rebounds?
- Have you tried creating a player with a last name that's already in the game? Did the announcer use that name, or does he still only call him by his Jersey number?
Whichever questions can be answered, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.Comment

Remember the bumping last year, that pushed you back a few feet on collision?? It has been removed, thankfully.

Great that EA seem to be really putting in an effort to make the game SIM like.
Side note : Have been really impressed by the way Tim has handled all the Q and A's...
The guy knows basketball...and it seems he's helped get that "b-ball lover" feel into the gameComment

Re: NBA Live '05 Beta discussion II
Is anyone going to put out a list of specific team play sets? Especially if they are set to dynamic by default as suspected? I know most of the team play styles but it would be nice to get a 'unofficial list' from someone here at OS so we know what to set the cpu teams to....Comment
