The defense the computer plays in this game is ridiculous

I can’t believe it. Maybe I need to mess with the sliders cause I can’t get an open shot at all. Freestyle moves, pro hop, all the tools players have in this game to get open and create their own shot are totally ineffective.

The pick and roll doesn’t work cause once you roll off the pick the guy that was checking the pick setter rotates to you so fast most times you never get open.

The computer playing defense is my exact shadow as if it knows where I’m going before I get there and cuts me off.

I can’t get a dunk off cause its like they get bumped and try to freak the ball with crazy shot adjustments that have no chance in hell to go it.

I’m shooting like 28-30% per game and losing by 20+ points.

On top of all this everything the computer does is so effective from the pro hop to the drop step to the pick and roll it all works flawless for the computer but is totally ineffective for me.

Anybody else got it like this?

Run some different plays, go to settings, then playbook and find some different plays to run, that helps. Because In 05, you cant just spin and prohop to the hole and score, you have to actually run plays like the real NBA.

i just started messing with the sliders

computer pro hop and drop step effectiveness are set to 70 and user's are both set to 0

ea put the user at a serious handicap with these sliders. i've moved the computer's and users both to 60 for starters, i think i'll mess with em some more.

the game is great to me though other than the problems i was having

I'm having the same problems on all-star. Hopefully I get better in acouple days, it is getting frustrating though.

EA didn't fix the pro hop all they did was lower the default user slider to 0, that isn't fair cause the computer's is at 70.

Use pared's sliders..move the ball around, attract double teams,dish out, drive and dish, read screens, backdoors..this game has it all just got to find it..

it took me 2 days but i'm getting real good offense now with Toronto..
