    Re: The Post Game ...

I think that it depends on were you at on the floor that determines what moves you do in the post. But the main point is that you hold the Post button and press and hold the pro hop button....

OT....I do agree with the other poster....Live's post game is nicer than Espn's. I don't know...maybe I'm missing something but the post game in Espn seems very limited to just backing down and hittin the shoot button.

I can do the REAL DROP STEP in practice but i can't do it in the game. just once in 10 games.
the post moves that i can always do with the Triangle button are just the Power dribble and the Jordan shake.

i think it all depends on both you and your defender's position.

      * The Player DROP Step effectiveness SLIDER is also set to ZERO at default. maybe we should increase this to 50 or 25.

      * In contrast, THE CPU Drop step is set to 70 at default.

same goes for the pro hop button. it's almost useless on superstar seting. If you want to turn the ball over, then use it .
i guess we should also increase it's slider a bit.

I can't figure out how to take a turnaround shot spinning to my right. The pro-hop button will make me spin to my left (or fake right and spin to left). But I'd like to sometimes being able to have similar moves going to my right. Just to make it complete.

Do you think next year EA will utilize the right analog stick while posting up for a reestyle postups? I noticed that it doesn't do anything while you hold the L trigger, so I think there's definitely scope for improvement using it.

actually right analog provides extra post moves.. when someone is at the post and calls for the ball.. give him the ball.. and then... dont dribble yet...instead...

-tab right analog to left or right.. and he will do the little shouder fake either to left or right..

-tap right analog to down.... and he will do the little up and under fake.. and sometimes cpu gets fake.. when that happens simply press layup/dunk button...

-tab right analog to up.... this will change ur current postion to backdown postion or face up defender postion...

mix these moves with pro hop button(turnaround fake) so its gives more vararity of post moves...

I knew about the left/right fakes. Didn't know about the other ones. In addition, I think EA should utilize it while you're dribbling the ball.

My only problems with the post game are passing it in and out of the post. When I pass it in they rarely throw a bounce pass which causes my big man to jump for the ball and lose his position. When I pass it out of the post my players don't move around and it gets stolen by the guards.

"I think its possible to break the animation in the middle and shoot a jumper turning to your right, if you time it just right."

Breaking animations by pressing the shoot button or dunk button a second (or maybe third time) have led to some sweet animations in themselves.

"I thought I did this once, but I could be mistaken."

And that's the thing, some of this stuff is happening so fast I almost miss it while I'm doing it (and have to go to the replay to actually see what I did)

Once in the post, I did the little ball faking with the right analog, took my first step and spun to the baseline and hit X, then I think what I did was accidentally hit X again while my man was in the air and somehow he ended up going under the basket and dunking on the other side of the hoop (the way players w/ serious air-time go under the basket and emerge on the other side).

While the graphics leave much to be desired, the animations often blow me away.
