So first yes you're right i had only one post.
Since it seems that I must prove everything to gain some respect, here is the reason : I register to Operation Sport Forum to read about NBA Live 2005 Beta Report. I read a lot about it but never had to tell something.
And guess what ? check the join date ... Ho ... seems like I register three week ago ... How could I create a fake account three week ago before you came and post something about Xbox editing ...
So NO i didn't create a fake account to tell this.
But at least I POST some screenshot of what I tell or did.
THIS is serious things.
I'm not here to make some mysterious post about "Hu Hu I had found something but I don't tell you exactly what until you found it yourself"
Do you know something about dbc editing on the XBOX ? Did you ever try to modify a team roster in those files ?
Please share you're experience instead of loosing your time in writing some crappy post like this.
I still have made a tool for Dbc editing on XBOX for NBA Live 2004. I managed to make some comparaison between PC default database and XBOX default dbc files in orders to decode the dbc field.
But i never managed to load the file on the XBOX caused it seems that the rosters files(viv files without extension) are protected with some kind of checksum. Even when editing only ONE player number in the dbc file, the roster file failed to load in Live 2004.
So I stopped this tool and started working on a XSH file reader.
I tried to look at the classic tools for some support (EA Graph and FSH editor) but even when editing the file header they didn't succesfully decoded the XSH files. So I made my own tool.
Then, for answering bats26 post, to check the dbc file I just used ultraedit to have a look at the file in HEX format. This way you can make some easy search. Fox Pro don't seems to work properly with those files(In fact I didn't manage to open them with it)
And yes now in 2005 each team jearsey has a viv files that contain 4 different file. One seems to be the good old xsh file that contain the image but i failed to load it in my tool. It need some tweaking about the header i think. The other are a .apt, .const and .ebo. The .apt seems to have some information about all the sub Bitmap contained in the XSH. I don't know anything about the other. Seems that they had some 3D information ... Maybe the PC version will help us to find out what they are suppose to do.
Just a last note : I won't post anything else until it is necessary, so don't waste your time counting my post. They won't ever be as hight as yours. But who care ??
