Because this thread has gone wayyyyyyyy over my head

First off in order to modify any console game you need a mod chip that is placed on the console motherboard. Which means you need take apart your console and install it. After you do that, there are a few other steps that need to occur even before you can think about doing any modification whatsoever.

Second, use google, research, and LEARN. There are a ton of sites for xbox modification. Not as many for playstation 2. Go to the sites people have posted in this thread to read more about this.

Lastly, for any newbie looking to mod their xbox, patience is key. As well as asking as many questions as you can. People out there are more than willing to help, because we're all novices at one point in time.

            The PRof Got it right

There are lots of material on the net. It all starts with mod chips being installed on you console which will allow you to play back-up DVD-Rs

Ps2 games are a lot harder to modify but it's possible as long as you have the software. It also has doesn't have a hard disk --> You always have to burn new dvd-r's evertime you want to test out a modification that you have made making it really time consuming.

                        And all this is legal.....

Seriously, watch what you do and say on messageboards regardinging legal issues like this.. you never know.

I mod the PC version, but thats totally legal. modchip's are not.
