    Catch-up AI still exists....

That stupid catch-up AI still exists in this game. it's not just as obivious.
They do it slowly and conservatively that you won't even notice it.

I always dominate the 1st half but by the time i get to the end game, my lead is gone or insignificant.
Then they'll stick a winning buzzer beater shot up your @ss.

LaSt night i was using the wolves and Garnett missed two open dunks!!!!!! he still had a full bar of stamina. then my lead dissipated.
    then i cried.

The catch up or momentum swings both ways. I was down by 17 last night to the Blazers and I managed to come back to win the game by 1. How do you explain that??

it doesn't matter which way the momentum swings, this LIVe comeback garbage should not exist. Sure momentum is realistic, but Live's/EA's way of momentum is very unrealistic, it's like you're team is SCRIPTED to miss shots or make shots on purpose. That sucks.

I know that. but is shouldn't happen every single game.

"Buzzer beater game on the line shots" shouldn't always go in every single game.

i suppose i should just let the CPU take the lead. then i'll suddenly be able to make a run and beat them.

Thankfully, I have a magic copy. My copy of Live rips me a new one, so my "guranteed comeback" AI must be busted or something...as a matter of fact, I've lost a game with the Cavs where LeBron got the ball around 12 feet out with 6 secs on the clock, down by 2 points in the 4th....and clanked the turnaround. So obviously, I must have gotten the copy without the automatic buzzer beater...I feel so lucky!

ok, so not every single game. but still... why does EVERY game have to be down to the wire? even against teams that are soo bad.

I mean there's no difference if you use the Wolves against New JErsey and the Wolves against the Spurs. The game will still always be down the wire.

If you bring your A game with a great team, New jersey should be slim pickings.

I know what you mean..the momentum constantly goes from one team to the other, but Keep in mind, that is in every B-ball game. I played my buddy TODAY in 2k5, and he jumped out to a 26-11 lead in the first quarter, I ended up winning by 1 ( he couldn't remember where the intentional foul button ). I will say that over the last 4 years of B-Ball games, the 2k series has always done it in a little more subtle manner, but it has been there as well...

The real skill is to be able to limit the damage when your opponent gets momentum, and to really press the advantage when its in your favor. When we play Live, my friend always forgets to call TO's when I get hot, and I almost always end up going on a big second half run that puts him away. There is no AI that will arbitrarily help him keep up if he doesn't manage these hot periods...so IMO its cool. In Madden it tends to be predictable because it always happens at the same time, but in Live its a more fluid occurance...sometimes you come out of the gate flat, sometimes you start off hot, and hen lose it later...
