Re: Ps4 vs ps4 pro version of live 18
why would I have a pro without a 4k tv?
and I don't care about outputting resolution, doesn't make any difference, doesn't get rid of jaggies, doesn't help anything.
it is just simple upscaling and you get input delay.
when I said 1080p, I was talking about its native resolution.
simple upscaling from 1080p doesn't help anything.
it just makes pixels bigger and give'em an image sharpening with noises and increased input lag.
what I want from pro support is native 4k like 2k17.
the developer's saying the support is comming in future, that means the demo is not pro supported.
the machine's just outputting that way so that it can be seen on a screen.
way different from officially supported games.Comment

Re: Ps4 vs ps4 pro version of live 18
what do u wanna argue about? you're saying it's above 1080p natively?
then pixel count it for me. what is the resolution?
it's not pro patched yet and EA's saying the patch is comming. it's all good. what is bothering u?
I was saying it's not patched yet. what's the problem? what's your point? am I bothering u?
it might look sharper than og ps4 or xbox cuz it's got additional sharpening effect when being upscaled and I have no idea how it looks on og ps4 but I do know the game's not pro patched.
what even is the problem.Last edited by sudanmalkovich; 08-15-2017, 06:19 AM.Comment

What I do know is the games file was about 4GB larger on PS4, also it's sharper on PS4 PRO vs Xbox One S. Maybe Xbox One S version is running at 900p and currently PS4 version at 1080p.
Regardless game looks good on Xbox One S and even better on PS4 Pro and just like the recent announcement regarding Madden 18 support for 4K/HDR NBA LIVE 18 will more than likely have this as well

Do you have tools to prove at what native resolution the game is running on, if you don't then you nor anyone can truly comment yet....

NBA Live 18 will support enhanced visuals on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, but the series might actually come to the Nintendo Switch in the future.
as I said before, EA is planning for future pro support so it's not supported yet.
as you may know, it's basically the same graphic as og ps4 if it's not pro supported.
the boost mode doesn't improve the game's native resolution.
it may improve loading time.
UNLOCKED graphical effects may be improved by the boost mode but they're usually locked by developers.
so if you're saying that it's 1080p on og ps4, it is 1080p native on pro also.Last edited by sudanmalkovich; 08-15-2017, 07:19 AM.Comment

Re: Ps4 vs ps4 pro version of live 18
It's not that serious y'all lol . It's just a little cleaner . Nobody saying it's 4k native at 60 fps PS4 pro and 720p 30 fps on OG PS4 lol.
Boost mode can simply help keep a steady frame rate . In other words help with the choppiness of a game . No patch is needed for that . EA hasn't confirmed or denied if the frame rate is locked.
But in order to get a native or "checker board " 4k resolution EA needs to drop a patch . Also the PS4 pro loads games quicker on average.
Something as simple as maintaining a steadier frame rate can make an image look smoother even if the graphics( PS4 pro vs OG PS4 vs Xbox one ) haven't been upgraded yet.
For example BF4 runs the same on both OG PS4 and PS4 Pro. But if when bombs and explosions are happening everywhere the frame rate would drop on OG PS4. The PS4 pro can handle the explosions etc.. better without chopping the image up.
Sorry for the long post dawg lolLast edited by Rockie_Fresh88; 08-15-2017, 07:49 AM.#1 Laker fan

In fact the Pro does 47% better in Framerate across the board, not just explosions and upscales up to 1440p which is huge. Big differences there guy.
Anyways Live 18 is way cleaner on the Pro and runs smoother too.Comment

Re: Ps4 vs ps4 pro version of live 18
I've played under either circumstances, boost mode on & off, and didn't see any major improvement.
if you compare og ps4 with FHD tv to pro with UHD tv, it's the tv that makes look crisper cause UHD tv handles motion way better than FHD tv. u get less screen blur on UHD tv usually because it's got better panel.Comment

Panels do play a role but the best 4K TVs, don't necessarily have the best motion blur processing or response times.Last edited by Gorilla Glass; 08-15-2017, 08:57 AM.Comment

Re: Ps4 vs ps4 pro version of live 18
Reread your post. Interesting stuff and not true. You get better frame from 1080p as of now. That's why games implement a choice between visuals and frame rate in options.

4k tv gets less motion blur than old fhd tv. even without any motion control process like auto motion plus on samsung tv. it's a simple fact.Last edited by sudanmalkovich; 08-15-2017, 09:02 AM.Comment
