the 50pt Live Challenges are fun as hell! i really hope they allow us the option to go 50pts a game 5v5. ran with the fellas and we were running plays and everything. chris smoove is extra op - its crazy, but fun.

not full 4qtrs but ill take the 50pt games in the mean time.

I've actually seen Zaza come back to life since this last patch too. Doesn't happen too often, but more than it was after 1.04.

With that said, he did just miss a wide open tip in too against me, so I guess it evens out, lol.

We all playing different games. Zaza is like 1-20 since last patch. Not seeing anything crazy around basket.
Without the down low stuff, cpu can't compete unless I take my foot off the gas.

I only use the Cavs but Kyrie and LeBron are beast( nothing changed).

I say, take out the reverse layups all together or set that package to 90 and above or something.

Blocks are still overkill. Ea its okay for it to be just a good contest and miss. The 2 man animation when it's 100% block and you can clearly see the animation start just looks out of place.

Next huge step hopefully is some type of ball physics. The game is running on some basic criss cross grid.

Hopefully the ball movement option is still there. Players just sit still and do nothing at certain parts of the game .

Option for automatic plays to run would be great also.

Derrick Rose needs a rating tweak. Dunking on people like the mvp year.

I can't stress enough... Sliders, sliders, sliders. With the right sliders this game is so great. Not to mention you need to play great D. I personally haven't experienced ZaZa reeking havoc but when he has it's my fault not the game. It's all about balance, creating shots, working the ball and being smart. I haven't had this much fun in a basketball game in a while. I feel like i have freedom when controlling the player. I know other's may not agree but i'm pumped for the full game.

I've gotten a chance to play a couple games to start this extended weekend, after taking about a week off from playing it. I see small differences, but nothing drastic in my eyes.

So, I play on simulation superstar with my own adjusted sliders. I definitely noticed jump shots going in less which I was really happy about. I remember one game I believed the Warriors went about 10-23 from three, while the Cavs (user) went 7-20. Which I thought was pretty accurate.

Lay-ups were adjusted, as I saw contested layups going in far less.

But blocks.... I love the animations and how shots are blocked. But like many others have said they are way to frequent. I have that slider down to 10, but I still see around 8-10 blocks a game.

For example, when I user LeBron James run and good play and end up getting a wide open lane. Draymond Green comes out of no where and blocks the shot. I expect that to happen rarely but not every single time it seems like.

That is the only thing that irks me with this game. Other than that, I hope they continue to make some adjustments to the game as we are now two weeks out from release.

Turn the blocks down to 0 for both user & AI, trust me you'll still see blocks but usually just your normal type one's. I've been playing with it at 0 since the demo came out. 9/10 game's i get great results.

No problem man. Also you said majority of the time you get chased down on the open dunk?. I get some dunks can be blocked but try tuning offensive in air collision, defensive in air collision. this adjusts the how often in air collisions occur rather than always having body to body. Check out my sliders

I've put in 15+ hours just tweaking sliders to find a good medium, also note game speed is 60 but 60-70 is fine. If you try them let me know what you think.

Agree with most of that.

This game is extremely fun, but with my own sliders. Default settings are maddening, and too rigid, from my perspective. Can't wait for the full game.

Lol, yeah..

Zaza isnt scoring like he did pre patch, but you still see these bouts of atheleticism like these from time to time....I mean, the video is right there...

Hopefully they continue to dial back some of the packages these bigs can do. If Zaza can do this, I fear what a big what better ratings like Drummond can do.

EDIT: I just read about the patch notes up top a few post back. I guess they didn't adjust the screen. I thought patch #3 was suppose to address it. I guess I'll wait for patch #4 hopefully for a fix/adjustment to the screen button.




Patch #3: Player specific screen button unfortunately still doesn't work
The first thing I did was to test out was to see if player specific screen works, and unfortunately it still doesn't work.

The thing I want to be able to do is have the ball handler remain still in the same spot and call for a screen from the guy in the far corner Kevin Durant (Green box) while completely bypassing Draymond Green (Blue box). Secondly, to call for a screen from Klay Thompson (red box) without moving Steph Curry (ball handler) towards Klay Thompson.

The only way I can explain this is to use 2k as an example. Video first, then screenshot

NBA2k: Selecting furthest player away to set a screen. Tap L1 to activate the player icons. Hold icon of desired player and he will come set a screen. First play Klay Thompson comes set a screen. Second play Durant comes set a screen. I didn't have to move Curry (ball handler) towards Klay or Durant. Main thing is that Klay and Durant are furthest away from the ball handler. This is total control when it comes to setting up the screen from any specific player.

The above shows exactly what I'm looking to do. I bring up player icon using the L1 button (screen/play calling button).

When the icon appears above the players head, hold down the corresponding icon will have that specific player come set a screen. That player can be anywhere on the floor. But more importantly that player can be standing furthest away in the corner.

Secondly, I also would like to not have to move my ball handler in the direction of the player, I would like to have the ball handler remain stationary in one spot while I execute the player specific screen.


Ultimately, the reasoning for asking is to have the ability to do stuff like this:

Just noticed today this seems to be working, at least it is on Xbox, I will try later on PS4 but I was able to simply point at the desired player with the left stick and then press and hold LB and call for the screen and that selected played came over and set the screen.

I'm not having issues with it, it's annoying to have to point using the left stick, but it works.
