Join the Xbox clubs or create an OS one..

This is why user names need to be shown on opposing team. Helps create rivalry/friends and who to ignore.

In 16 5vs5 matchup screen. Had option to view gamertag and ability to compare stats. Hoping for something like this along with a star rating system.

Also can we please get the height/wt added to matchup screen.

No clue what opposing player I'm guarding if they are CPU or human, what archetype they are. Some icon system needs to be in place when they have the ball.

yea buddy Classic is solid, been trying to get him as a permanent fixture - but hes got a crew of his own! He hooped with us a little bit on 2k17 so he already knew how they were lol. He just laughs at'em.

Yeah, ball hogs in Live Run can be frustrating, but there are ways to cope.

I play with either a tall 3-pt shooting wing scorer or a 3-pt shooting stretch big. When I run with randoms, sometimes I get guards who cannot or will not pass. So, I work hard with offball movement to get open and, more often then not, I eventually get passes and nail threes. I also work to get boards so that I can have more of a say on offensive flow.

Still, sometimes guards hog the ball so much that, yes, I will force a three-second call in the lane, especially if I'm open, to send a signal. Or I'll just yell and talk trash at them on the mic.

The best solution, though, is not to run with randoms and instead run with ppl who know how to play team ball. Period.

^what i do when i run with selfish randoms is when i do get the rock - i try to set the ball hog up with a beautiful look. after about 2 assists they realize i can set them up for the highlight/bucket better than he can do it alone. doesnt always work, but believe it or not it works more than when i did the 3 in a key. it helps to ice them out when you can too. also im too crazy about my teammate grade to do too many 3 in the key - i gotta get that 100 teammate grade

you gave best advice though. if youre in the mood to hoop 5v5 and you dont have a squad - come to OS and grab one of us or join a Live community.

I'm playing as a Point Shooter but I'm really a pass first/pnr player. Exactly how I play in real life.

                          Re: Street Pick-Up Games - Why it's a Mess ?

My first build was a PG, and playing online was awful. Teammates would just follow me around so there was no space to actually operate, and they wouldn't actually do anything to get themselves open, so there would rarely even be opportunities for assists.

It's a little better with my stretch 4, but I constantly get matched with ball hog PGs, or other guards and smaller forwards that constantly set screens for whoever has the ball, completely negating one of the best things about being a stretch big.

The worst is when someone sets a screen on my man when I'm posting them up. It leads to a steal 100% of the time, because I'm backing down, and their man is then free to strip me because they're standing there setting a screen in the post for no reason.

I do get a good amount of rebounds, but as a big, I don't like the bring the ball up the floor; it's not realistic. Of course, when I do pass it, they turbo up the court and inevitably shoot a contested shot before I even cross half court.

In the few instances where I got matched with decent teammates, I had a blast, but they're so few and far between. I actually had a game yesterday where the guy defending me refused to leave the paint, so I was wide open on the outside the entire game, and never got a single pass.

As a center, I actually enjoy rebounding, defending the rim, getting putbacks....so even though things like post up opportunities and passes are few and far between...I can still enjoy myself unless guys are just TOTALLY brain dead, lol

Agreed. Complete enjoying being a wing defender. Very satisfying locking down someone on D, boxing out and grabbing rebounds.
