Just simulated two seasons of franchise and it s sorely lacking. There was not one trade executed in the entire nba through two seasons. So the cpu doesn't initiate trades at all not with the user or other cpu teams. This is a terrible oversight.

Thank you for posting. I was heavily leaning towards doing the digital preorder, but NBA Live 18 is basically a play-now only mode for both the NBA and WNBA. Bummer. Saving $40 dollars plus tax. Maybe next year, but I don't even know if there's going to be a next year. Hopefully there's an NBA Live 19.

EDIT: ... and hopefully they'll finally get in roster editing and cpu trades and whatever basics are missing in NBA Live 19.

They had two full development cycles... No roster management and no franchise mode.

Who's in charge of this operation? This game is fun but not worth more than $30. Unacceptable.

Just wait til they release some info. I know they're out due to Irma right now til Monday, but wait to see what they have in the Day 1 Patch, etc. Not making excuses, but try to be patient (I know, after 2 years it's difficult).

i'm always going to give this franchise a chance.. they've established a really solid foundation to build on here and that's great. But there's still a lot of catching up to do and vital areas of the game are still being neglected.

Appreciate it bateman11. Trades worked in Live 16, so I'm assuming, again just an assumption, that maybe there was a bug or glitch that they disabled it until fixed, which surely should be fairly quick.

Not trying to be a sky is falling type but what reason have they given us to be patient with them? No blog, no information now? They could have easily given us a heads up before this released about what changes we would see but they didn't.

I hope you don't feel like I am attacking you, that isn't my intent. Their lack of information has led to my frustrations with this.

The ea access nba live 18 trial might be pre day one patch. That could explain why there are bugs that are not yet corrected. Hopefully the things people are experiencing with the early trial are corrected once the game releases with the patch update.

I preordered drunkenly one night. Going to ask for a refund through XBL. Too much **** is missing in this game.

I canceled my copy yesterday. Even at $35 I don't feel it's worth it with no roster edits, create a player, questionable dynasty mode setup(from another topic), and now ai not initiating trades.
