This BS needs to stop.

The gameplay and AI does not get patched every time someone sees something new.

The game is dynamic. It's not the scripted, predictable game many of you have come from.

If you play good D, you'll see the CPU play pretty realistic and varied offenses.

Sometimes the CPU will attack the basket, sometimes theyll barrage you with threes, sometimes theyll iso, sometimes theyll run a bunch of plays, shooting midrange, sharing the ball etc. That's NBA Live.

But there wouldn't be these misconceptions if EA were more transparent and explained what was in each patch, what is updated (in terms of "tuning") each time your load the game, and most importantly, wtf Synergy does/what it's for.

Look I really like Live, but like with so many others things with this game (looking at you, roster editing), EA shoots their own selves in the foot with piss-poor decision-making. I'm one of the bigger Live-backers here, and I'm starting to feel alienated to the point where I've given up on the game and turning to Madden (and soon, Gran Turismo). Communicate with your consumer base.

It was something to do with EA only updates weekly...all their games are the same.

The roster issue was something along the lines of each team needs a certain amount of players on the roster....and thus if you send two players to their correct new team, but there is no created player to replace them on the roster and their old team then falls below the right amount of players, thing will not work. I.e. each team has to have a certain amount of players.

Really though, it is just that EA are very poor when it comes to roster stuff. In the history of this game, I cannot recall ever seeing anything close to a 100% accurate roster.

It would be good if they focussed more on getting it right.

This seems to be correct because they put in the Melo - Kanter/McDermott trade which is a 2 for 1.

The Knicks had to waive Chasson Randle who is still on the Knicks roster after the latest update.

But Mindaugas Kuzminskas (a heavy rotation player for the Knicks last year) is still not on the roster.

This is not dropping the ball. It's just a terrible way to execute updates.

Forget accessory updates and the like. Not having all the players with their correct uniform numbers is simply bad business.

Back to the roster update, nice to see some trades but the missing players, aka Spurs - still haven't been added and I still can't (don't want to) play them in Franchise mode.



Brandon Paul, the rookie, I can understand, but Davis Bertans was always on the roster and played decent minutes last year (and will be a key player this year) so there's no excuse for him to be excluded.

The next time they shoot a mid-range shot will be the first time but I digress...
