I really have to stop playing on Superstar. I'm positive All Star will give me a better experience....but I'm so damn stubborn and competitive, lol

I win 2/3 games but those losses stick with me. CPU gets so damn cheesy with their runs on SS man.

Playing on the road is hard. The cpu seems to be able to get on runs and hot more easily. Sometimes you gotta slow it down and keep the crowd out of it. Feels realistic in that aspect.

Played a 7 game series as the warriors. Super star modified sliders (shooting, dunks, blocking toned down) Finals format. Much easier to play at home at Oracle than at Boston. Struggled on the road.

Game 6 at Boston I’m down 11 with less than 2 minutes to go. Hit 4 3s and a layup and go up by 3 with 10 seconds. Then Kyrie it’s a 3 to tie. Then KD gets his dunk attempt rejected as time expires. Crazy sequence. Lost in OT.

Game 7 I’m down 30-13 at home but come back and win by 13. Went 11/12 from 3 in the 2nd half with KD.

Cheese move? I keep my dribble a step inside the 3 pt line with KD. Find that sweet spot and then flick the right stick back (not the trigger). KD steps/floats back behind the 3Pt line creating open space and I rise up and hit the green. Do this twice and KD gets hot and starts hitting yellows.

As for WNBA play, I have a huge challenge beating the sparks on all star. The sliders are definitely set differently on that side.

I did go on a 23-0 run to come back one game. Was down 38-25 heading into the 4th. Won the 4th 13-0, gutting a transition 3 with Maya Moore with 10 seconds remaining to send the game to OT.

One of the biggest STRENGTHS of NBA Live is how fast it plays. 2k you dunk in slow motion, quick cuts to the basket are done at snail pace. They do that because it looks nicer with smoother animations. This game plays much faster, there is much more control of your player, even if it doesn't look quite as fluid. Not sure what anyone means when they say the game plays slow. Or clunky

I think they (2K devs) slowed down dunks so the defender can react, in this demo i feel i never can react quick enough or that the jumps are slow.

I'm really liking the NBA side. And I also like The One.

But I just happen to prefer the way Live plays. Always have though there have been some really bad titles released.

I'm sure I'll find new things eventually but most of the things that annoyed me with 18 appear to be corrected with 19 except the too quick closeouts.

I finally pre-ordered. $40 is also a good price even if I'm not convinced franchise is fixed. I'll likely stick with the one and a season mode.

I'm sure they are. But I'm wondering if I would even have time for franchise mode with Spider-Man and Red Dead Redemption being day one buys for me.

I don't want to say that too loud for fear they'll continue cutting franchise mode from games but I've realized I don't have the time anymore for it. But that doesn't mean others don't.

Changed my mind completely, at first I wasn’t liking the new game...felt like things were slow or clunky...and I really thought I wasn’t liking it.

Then I put in some time, hit the practice court solo and 1v1 to actually practice and work on my skills, what a difference a few hours makes.

I’m now loving the game, there are more new things than I knew about, the off ball offensive controls are really good, takes time to learn and use but can really open up the game. Learning to dribble using the left stick took a little getting used to, but I’ve been pulling off some great dribble moves with certain players. Kyrie does this cross over to like a fast behind the back dribble while backing away from the defender...it is really nice and smooth when pulled off right. I have to experiment more with Curry but have seen one or two different dribble moves with him using only the left stick or combination of left stick and sprint button.

Anyway, I’m liking a lot about the game, the momentum meter and how that’s all working is huge, I’m sure others are seeing similar things...don’t let Klay heat up, or you will be taking L’s...lol.

I’ve mostly been playing nba 5v5 because that’s what I like and play. If I had confirmation that online H2H with nba teams let me invite friends to games I’d have preordered already.

Just waiting to see that and I’ll buy.

EA has made a lot of improvements with this game. And it’s rare I say something good about EA.

Very good post. People bashing the game just aren't giving it time. You have to play it over and over and learn the extra stuff. The thing I LOVE about Live is that the additions they make actually work and have an impact. For example the double team. It's very responsive and effective. As opposed to the other game it's almost purely cosmetic. And I'm a bigger fan of the other game. However, I try to be fair and truthful and not be bias. On ball defense works in Live. Live definitely isn't perfect but those who are saying it's horrible and trash, while I respect thier opinions, I think those are very harsh and exaggerated words.

Defense seems worse than last year. Pick and roll D is nonexistent. Passing into the paint is too easy. Interior defense, aside from shot blocking, is poor. Looks like H2H games are going to be scorefests if the Lakers vs Celtics video is any indication.

Help defense was much better last year. Your cpu teammates were pretty smart. This year they're hugging up on their man and not in help position. More 2Kish in that regard.

I can defend the cpu pretty well when I use the pressure the shooter mechanic. Just have to use it sparingly because the cpu will adjust and start driving on you.

There needs to be more misses especially on some of the circus layups in traffic.

Just asking because I haven't tinkered with fine tuning defensive adjustments, have you tried to specify exactly what you want the defenders to do in these situations?
