Help with defense against CPU
I'm constantly giving up layups and I use LT but it doesn't work when they pass to cutter's. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Help with defense against CPU
I have tried to not use LT and focus on foot work and trying to anticipate where the opponent is going to go. It seems to help some when you get it right, but you do get burned some which is I feel is actually realistic
Some problems may get fixed once the first patch comes out which may help this too -

Thanks I'll try that. I put it on pro for now maybe I just need to get some more games under my belt.

Re: Help with defense against CPU
Try to lay off LT and just use the left stick to stay in front. Give a little more space than you think you need so you have time to react, and cut off the dribbler at an angle.
As for cutters, try to switch as soon as you see them cutting. If you're still having trouble, change up your coach settings to play looser off the ball to give your teammates more time to react to the cut. Worst case, play off-ball defense by controlling the PF/C so you can manually get into position when you see the cutter dive into the paint.Comment

Re: Help with defense against CPU
Spoiler
Don’t really have any advice for layup counters, but I will say that using L1 (guard ball) is more effective at making the CPU miss jumpers. It may feel awkward holding L1 instead L2, but in my time with the demo 18’ and demo 19’, that’s my impression on superstar difficulty. It may not work with the retail version though. Or I could be completely wrong.
