NBA Live 19 Patch 1.07 Available - Adds Edit Player in Franchise Mode, Patch Notes

Played a few games my first observation was the CPU blocking is out of control. Even with shot blocking at 10 they were grabbing everything. Could just be me with a small sample size. Anyone else seeing this?

I’m glad they tightened up the interior but the perimeter is now messed up. The game has always played that the defense smothers you on the perimeter and the only real saving grace was that at least your passes didn’t get intercepted when you passed it around. You just can’t work the ball around anymore. Wide open jumpers were a rarity before this patch but possible by working the ball around and with drive and kicks but those get intercepted now at a high rate. I’m all for making it necessary to be careful when passing it but now your going to turn the ball over a lot no matter what you do.

Sadly this has really hurt the mid range and three point game and honestly really tarnished the “fun factor” for me.

Even worse the cpu hasn’t increased their turnovers at the same clip the user has post patch. I was between 7-12 turnovers a game pre patch and computer was 6-10. Post patch I have been around 20 turnovers a game and cpu 8.

I wish I could go back and not update.

Exactly this; it's effecting online play as well. I like to move the ball around and hit open shots but now you have to be very wary of all passes. It's almost better to just hold the ball with one player now and that's not fun (nor does it resemble actual basketball).

Yeah I went to the store to see the new items and didn’t see any. Also the jerseys are still locked behind hype level. I still wish they put sneaker crates back in the game. Or they could at least tell you what sneakers are hidden behind certain hype levels.

I probably get killed for this don’t feel the pass lanes are as bad people saying it is. Comparded pre patch were pass where going in unrealistic directions. Now the blocks I agree definitely need tuning, don’t see them changing till next yr, canned blocks need to go. Don’t play to much live run so can’t judge to much on that area

They also completely nerfed the ability to get a green release on a spin step back jumper. It’s just not a viable option anymore. Couple that with the fact it’s super hard to get anyone open and they’ve managed to completely kill the mid range game and created a PIP fest.

Ugh I want my favourite game back lol.

I'm still hoping for injuries within franchise.

On those who are home and can check this... in franchise, after the draft, can you edit all aspects of the rookie? Appearance, name, etc? I doubt it, I'd say you're still limited but if so that could at least be a workaround.

I’m not seeing green even when wide open with highly rated players

been editing and playing the other game went back to this doesnt feel as good as i remember it

saddens me

game speed is all messed up

I just don’t get it. I thought the consensus was that NBA lives gameplay was great and more than anything the main descriptor was “fun” it just needed better modes and depth.

Why such a drastic change? It’s just not fun anymore. If I want full sim frustration 2k does that waaaaaaaay better.

I agree. I was all worried last night before i booted up. But aside from a couple of WTF passes being picked, i had fun. Definitely more challenging now. Still would like auto rebounding fixed. Takes away all control.

All star and I should also clarify that My comments are from my experiences in franchise.

I just finished a game against Cleveland. I managed to keep my interceptions down but the cpu was struggling. And the interceptions a lot of times are just weird looking. Players flying across the court to pick it off or the ones were you pass to a guy right beside you and the opposition warps in between for a interception.

I respectfully disagree. While the gameplay was and still is a major step foward comparing to previous iterations of the series, it still had a lot of flaws, mainly playcalling (due to players rarely getting open and offball screens being worthless) and passes being a bit whacky.

I still like that they tried to correct some of those flaws, and maybe we'll get used to the passing.
