The online features are the best with EA's games, but still they haven't made any gameplay tweaks to contain the cheesers. The games are played on the default settings (which are totoally ARCADE) and it allows gamers to take advantage of every single flaw with the gameplay. That's why there are more cheese puffs than actual gamers out there.

Completely agree. I have to say, it's quite annoying playing a kid who will take Kobe and spin to the basket all day and dunk without there being some consequence.

There needs to be a balance that will allow players who enjoy different styles of games.

They should incorporate two sets of records, ranked, and unranked. I really don't care about rankings, b/c people will do whatever it takes to win, sim or not. But I DO care about sim games. An unranked game should be allowed to be used with custom sliders. They should also be allowed to quit and have a different D/C %. On top of that, each user should have a rating given by other users who have FINISHED a game with that person.

If I were to have access to online features and how they are implemented, many of us online people would be happy. Hell, I'd intern there just for the hell of it.

For the PS2 you have instant messaging, leagues, a sports ticker, chatrooms, news board, a FAQ section, trophy case, and you can get a full background check on any of your opponets.

You can also have EA email you the stats from every game you played online.

ESPN has leagues.That's all that matters.League with trades and you can go on the espnvideogames site to check out stats and other little nuggets...But nto each his own.
