What's up Playmaker? Quick ? How do I set everything up with secondary lineups and so forth?

You can't, they will run the same plays as the Starters but the CPU will most likely go to it's best bench player for a selected play.

There are many teams that assigned plays for like San Antonio and Dallas that have plays designated already for bench players like Stackhouse, Finley or Van Exel.

I set up my lineups like you suggested with corrected secondary positions and all. However I didn't see Lebron subbed in at the pg. The cpu put in Snow which is on the 10 or 11th spot on my bench. I am only playing 5 min qtrs. Do you think that is the problem?

          I actually play 10 or 11 minutes.

But you have to set it up at the matchup screen for the CPU. I assign LeBron the Starting Pg for starters, move Damon Jones to SG, then in Defensive Matchups I assign LeBron to Defend the SF and Jones the PG.

Usually the CPU will play him at PG for about half the 1st qtr then move him to SF at their first substitution timeout or dead ball. At the start of the second half he'll go back to point and then the process will repeat agian when the CPU changes lineup.

But he'll never defend a PG in the game because by assigning him to defend all SF's at defensive matchups you have essentially used him one way on offense and another way on defense.

Ok I misunderstood. I thought that the cpu automatically put him in at pg when say Jones got hurt or was tired. I didn't know we had to put him in at pg ourselves.

I'm confused, what is everyone talking about assighning secondary positions making LeBron James a PG as secondary position, are you saying this automatically happens?

The game allows you to change Super-Star types and also assign a primary and secondary posistion to any player.

What this means is at DEFAULT LBJ is a SF/SG as Primary/Secondary posistions. Which is cool because those are his primary real life posistions. However, certain guy's like LBJ, Kobe and T-Mac handle the ball alot and bring the ball up court during stretches of games in real life. So, I asssigned LeBron a secondary posistion of PG instead of SG just to add a little more realism in my games.

These aren't things required just little wrickles I do to make the better when you play the CPU. Playmaker Super-Star also makes LeBron a better passer in the half court game aswell. There are so many ways you can manipulate the gameplay this year to your likings it's unreal. If the 360 Version wasn't coming out i would get into greater detail of those things but in a month most of us will be playing on the Next Gen systems so it becomes obsolete.

But try switching Super-Star skills for guy's and it effects how they attack you doing game play.

Thanks for all of your help but some of those rotations are off. Sasha V isnt going to start at PG for the Lakers, McKie is and Eddie Griffin isnt gonna start at SF either for Minn. Let me know if you need any help with the rotations.

Hey PM thanks for the response, had no idea that I could do that to their positions. Off the subject do you think MM06 is worth buying and are you going to do sliders for them? Also I went the FT line 51x's with the lakers vs Cavs I'm using 10-4-05 sliders on 1st page any suggestions?

Yeah I know. These are lineups that I altered just for gameplay. I think Griffin starting and Wally moving to SG if you play the Wolves would make them more effective in the game. Some changes I mentioned are going to be slightly off to what teams would really do.

But any flexible lineup information about teams would be great to post in this thread. Like for instance Dallas is my favorite team and I altered them slightly from what the game has setup on DEFAULT. I wanted Stackhouse being the 6th man and Marquis Daniels starting at SG.

Samething for Seattle I switched Flip Murray to PG so he could time off the bench to backup Ridnour and Damien Wilkins can slide down to SG that way both guy's get on the floor if you play the CPU in a dynasty game.

Yeah they were altered on 10/09/05.

I lowered shooting fouls down to 34-38, and In Air Collision down to 90-100. Those are personal settings I left as optional for guy's.

I use 34, 50 and 100 for shooting, Reach In and In Air fouls. The sliders altered a little so check out some of the changes that were made. I'm gonna waite for feedback on MM06 before buying it this year. So, I'll read the impressions thread and see what guy's are saying overall.

Not sure if i get it, but do i have to put Lebron manually into the PG position if i want him to play some PG. Or just use the rotations you posted in page1 and he will automatically play PG in some stages of the game?
                          thanks

Actually, Smush Parker is the front runner to start right now. Too bad he's not even in the game.

I'll update Playbooks in a few days. I think Magloire will replace Bogut so the Bucks low post play should remain but Simmons will have to be added as Playset now instead of Mason.
