Hey Playmaker, Can you please post your most recent sliders to date. I know you have made many changes since your first post and I notice that you never post the updated. Thanks.

I've gone into detail as to what each slider globally effects on the front page so anyone needing a reason as to why or how I came up with those setting can check the first page of this thread. Keep in mind the NBA game is becoming more and more uptempo today. A handful of teams are now going with smaller lineups to dictate matchups and tempo. The ref's are calling more and more reach-in fouls and hand checking fouls to increase scoring. Teams are averaging as whole around 16-18 turnovers a game with some teams eclipsing over 20 tunovers on any given night.

A couple of things that I've spent time doing manually is I lowered all SF's, SG's and PG's shot block ability down to zero. That has allowed me to keep blocks at a very reasonable level which is anywhere from 4-6 a game and usually they come in the low post. My gameplay settings for all FG ranges were strictly created with "CPU SHOT" control ON. I play with set plays for both Human and CPU based upon each teams strength....for instance if I"m playing the CPU and they are San Antonio I will set them up to have atleast 3 out of 4 sets BOX, Post UP or Inside Triangle that will run plays through Duncan that way he is constantly being fed the ball. Defensively, I try to mix and match sets making sure a team like the T-Wolves or Mavs will always switch-up constantly from man to zone.

      Global Changes

      Charge/Block foul-85
      In Air Collision foul-85
      Shooting Foul-33

      Gameplay Changes

      User/CPU Dunk-Layup BLK-6/8
      User/CPU Fakeout-88/53
      ON Ball Physical D-15/22
      User On Ball Defense Assist-85

These are my only changes. I made some additional comments about player ratings earlier in this thread that helps lower block shots. Lower all PG's, SG's and SF's to 0 in block rating and change defensive pressure to low/medium during game play to help create spacing on the floor for perimeter shooters. These changes make the game much more fluid. Also, depending on matchups you can change Gamespeed from 46 to 48 to bring out more realism for matchups against say Detroit or Phoenix. You'll see a small difference in game pace but it helps a great deal because just like in real life some teams like to run and others like to slow it down.

Re: ALL-STAR Sliders for Press Box CAM (with CPU Shot Control)

I must say that these sliders are by far the most realistic I have ever used on this game and definitely came at the right time for me. I hope that everyone gives these sliders a try and by just simply changing speed you can have different styles of play as stated above. This can also lower field goals if you want to play a 12 minute quarter game. Thanks a lot for these sliders.

              Thanks a lot man.

Also, if people are still using a variation of these sliders I have done some more tweaking. Now this might not be what most people enjoy doing doing but I needed to get the assist totals up so i went in and edited every single players passing rating. Here's what I did to make it quick and easy and it helped me a great deal.

              Scale
              All PG's up 20 points
              All SG's up 16 points
              All SF's up 14 points
              All PF's up 12 points
              All C's up 10 points

Special adjustment I made was to help guy's who are more likely to get triple doubles like LeBron James, Kevin Garnett, Kobe Bryant or Jason Kidd I boosted which ever aspect's of their game were lowest by atleast 15-20 points. Example James Passing went up 20 points along with Garnett so now they have become triple threat guy's in the game because their rebounding and scoring was already high. Kidd and Bryant both got +20's in both rebounding and Passing to help them flirt with triple doubles in your dynasty games. Please keep in mind that I only did this for a hand full of guy's who are triple double type players.

I keep defensive pressure on Medium or low for all perimeter players depending on the offensive players skill rating. For instance if it's Josh Howard of Dallas I'll defend him with low defensive pressure and if it's a shooter like Peja then I set it to medium but never high because it keeps block shots very low and helps with the spacing which increases catch and shoot assist totals that you'll see start to increase for the PG's who drive and then kick out to wing players. The assist totals for all my games are now between 15-18 assist per game by the CPU. I also have selected play sets for each team and if anyone is interested let me know and I'll post actual plays within a set that teams will run that fit their personel strength.

Example try playing against Orlando leave their Offensive strategy to DYNAMIC......however go and change their quick plays. Their quick plays will be set to BOX but you have to select the play # and not just leave it at BOX. Select these specific plays Box 8, 3 and 9 for the first three quick plays and then select you own specific offense for the team you are controlling ie Dallas I use Motion and within that quick play of your own you can run plays without selecting a specific play # like you did for the CPU up above. Now switch the game controller over to your team and watch Orlando run those three plays specifically out of BOX set and Francis, Mobley, Hill and Turkolou (sp) will be their main scoring threats and the plays will be designed to run through all 4 of those guys. Francis will drive and dish or he might just dunk on your azz if you don't stop his penatration once he gets into the paint area. In the meantime you can run your own plays by selecting the corresponding quick play button that has the different offensive play listed. The CPU will not run your teams play it will cylce through randomly the three plays you specifically designed for them.

OK, I think I understood that!

                  Please post these team sets!

When you say "I boosted which ever aspect's of their game were lowest by atleast 15-20 points", do you mean just for their triple double stats (rebounds, assists) or do you mean ALL of their low stats, even if it's dribbling or something? I'm sure you just mean the rebounding and assists.

                  Thanks for this man.

For J.Kidd I boosted his rebounding like 15 points, for Garnett his passing and Lebron Passing and slight rebounding adjustments. I play the Cavs twice and LeBron just mossed a triple on both occasions and Kidd put up 16 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assist in a game against my Mavs with his rebounding boosted. It takes about 1-2 hours of editing but it's well worth it in the end.

I'll post set plays in a few days for each team. I'm still studying play diagrams for the FLEX and STAGGER plays. I have pretty good knowledge of most of the other plays since I played a little college and highschool ball but EA names their plays a little different from the verbage we used in college.

I have pretty good knowledge of most of the other plays since I played a little college and highschool ball but EA names their plays a little different from the verbage we used in college.

Re: ALL-STAR Sliders for Press Box CAM (with CPU Shot Control)

OK for anyone using my sliders I will update team specific plays that will help your season or dynasty get a better NBA performance.

I will update team sets daily as I continue to run test and games. I've done some serious work observing these playsets and some teams might function well with 1-2 different sets and selected plays. These are designed to help the CPU get the most out their main players and take advantage of each teams strength when you play against them in your dynasty or season.

Atlanta-Flex Offense-(Set plays 1-3-2)/Defense Man To Man. Designed to get the ball to Walker and Harrington in low blocks. Play 3 gets Walker up high on the perimeter and allows him to break down his man usually a PF off the dribble or take one of his pattened three's.

Charlotte-Sideline Triangle-(Set Plays 1-2-6) Defense 2/3 Shifting Zone. This set is built towards taking advantage of E.Okafor's inside power game. Usually Okafor will provide a target on the weakside of the court with only the PG running a inside/out two man game. make sure Emeka is listed as the starting PF in your dynasty and not the Bobcats center because this play and set is designed to cater to a teams scoring PF on the low blocks.

Dallas-Motion Offense-(Set Plays 3-8-9) Defense 2/3 Zone. The Mavs will thrive off these three plays. It is tailored to Nowitzki placing him out high and down low. However, look for Finley and the Mavs other collection of Swingman to get their touches aswell. Play 9 is to post Dampier on the strong side with Dirk spotting up along the baseline.

Detroit-1/4 High Offense-(Set Plays 7-2-8) Defense Full Court Man. Takes advantage of the Pistons High Scoring Backcourt Combo of Billups and Rip Hamilton coming off high screens by the Wallace's also allows Rasheed to get his touches being the primary low post scorer.

Houston-Double High Offense-(Set Plays 5-4-2) Defense Man To Man. This set is all about McGrady. He will setup just outside of the top of the arc above the freethrow line and his freestyle moves will force to eventually bring a double team. McGrady will get his 25-30 shots in these sets with Yao getting a few touches aswell. T-Mac could drop 30 or 40 on you in these sets.

LA Lakers-1/4 High Offense-(Sets Plays 6-4-1) Defense 3/4 Court Man. Make sure you have L.Odom starting at PF or else he will get very few touches but this is all about Kobe. This set has some similiarties to the Double High but it runs Kobe Usually off of one screener up high as opposed to two.

Miami-Inside Triagle/Sideline Triangle Offense-(Set Plays I-Triangle 8, S-Triangle 5) Defense Full Court Man. These two combo sets best utilize Shaq in low post and makes sure he gets fed the ball consistently. Make sure D.Wade is switched to the 2G spot because he will get more touches and shots when the defense collapse on Shaq and switch E.Jones to SF for both sets so he can work the baseline perimeter.

New Jersey-Zone Motion/Zone Flash Offense/Defense 3/4 Court Man. Zone Motion keeps Kidd more invloved with distributing the rock instead of shooting. Zone Flash will get Jefferson flashing into the key up high so he can use his slashing skills in the paint. Make sure you added V.Carter and play him at the SG spot giving Kidd a perimeter scorer to drive and dish out to repeatedly.

Orlando-Box Offense-(Set Plays 8-9-3) Defense Man To Man. These Box set plays is geared more towards Orlando's perimeter Players Francis, Moble and Hill. They will shoulder the bulk of the scoring load and spacing created in this set allows Francis to get to the rack often which might get your defenders into foul trouble with sliders geared towards rewarding players who drw contact in the paint area on shooting fouls.

Golden ST-Box/Sideline Triangle Offense-(Set Plays Box 1-5-7, S-Triangle 3-6) Defense Man To Man. Look for these plays in both sets to get Jason Richardson imvolved early and often. His perimeter game is shaky but his set plays in the Triangle sets are geared towards getting him on the low blocks so he can over match opposong SG's down low. The Box set is also good for getting production out of Dunleavy and Murphy.

Phoenix-Secondary Break Offense-(Set Plays 1-4-8) Defense 2/3 shifting Zone. This appears to be the best fit for the Suns because it runs the offense through Amare yet it doesn't ignore slasher S.Marion on the Wing and Nash from 3-PT land. Make sure you switch Amare to Center and Marion to PF to get the best results out this set.

Sacramento-Utah/Motion Offense-(Set Plays Utah 3-2-7, Motion 8-10-3) Defense Man To Man. The Utah Set is actually best suited for running the Offense through Webber it puts him in a # of posistions to score while the Motion Offense caters to Peja more often. The Utah set does provide the best ball movement of any play sets in this game and it is ideal for the Kings especially if you edited the players Passing rating like i recommened in my earlier post within this thread. You will see excellent movement and ball distribution.

Utah-Utah Offense-(Set Plays 3-4-1) Defense 2-3 Zone. Hello Carlos Boozer because this guy will get plenty of work in the low post. Also expect Kiralenko (sp) to get some touches near the high post but for the most part it's all about Boozer.

I'm still tweaking teams running them through multiple sets and playing games so I'll keep posting and adding teams later. Until then enjoy the sets and watch these teams react within these sets like true to life NBA ball.
