Re: ALL-STAR Sliders for Press Box CAM (with CPU Shot Control)

Here's some games from this past saturday that kinda gives you an idea of what i was trying to accomplish with these sliders in gameplay. You should notice the amount of FT's and Team Fouls that were called in these games.

    Nuggets-90.............(34/76 FG% .447, 21/23 FT's, 25 Team Fouls)
    Spurs-99................(36/72 FG% .500, 22/32 FT"s, 21 Team Fouls)

    New York-79...........(30/77 FG% .390, 16/24 FT's, 21 Team Fouls)
    Cleveland-104.........(40/76 FG% .526, 18/25 FT's, 22 Team Fouls)

    Indiana-101............(32/76 FG% .421, 33/42 FT's, 28 Team Fouls)
    Dallas-121..............(40/73 FG% .548, 37/40 FT's, 31 Team Fouls)

    N.Jersey-101..........(35/87 FG% .402, 26/33 FT's, 30 Team Fouls)
    Orlando-104...........(35/78 FG'% .474, 24/34 FT's, 21 Team Fouls)

    Minnesota-114........(42/88 FG% .477, 24/27 FT's, 26 Team Fouls)
    Washington-117......(40/88 FG% .474, 29/36 FT's, 21 Team Fouls)

I posted this just so people can see that the entire NBA has had an increase in FT's attempted this year. Partly because Refs are not allowing the hand checks anymore, they are calling more reach in fouls and usually if there's contact in the paint they are blowing the whistle this year.

Some people might think that it slows the flow of the game down in Live 05 but I tend to differ withthat theory. I believe that it keeps the game close to what it is in the real NBA if fouls are being called. I haven't seen many games that both teams go most of a quarter without attempting a FT or being called for a foul.

Ok Here's the final playbooks for the remaining teams I created.

New Orleans-Secondary Break Plays 1, 4 and 8. Select two of those three's and run it with ISO aswell for them.

Minnesota-1/4 High Plays 7, 4 and 2. Utilize those combos with Pick N Roll if you want them to use Cassell and Garnett in that situation.

Philadelphia-1/4 High Plays 2, 5 and 3. Also reccomend Iso aswell for AI to go one on one.

San Antonio-Sideline Triangle Plays 7, 3 and 8. Inside Triangle Plays 4, 5 and 9. Utah Play 3 also functions good for Spurs.

New York-Sideline Triangle Plays 1, 5 and 7 combined with ISO for Marbury.

        Toronto-Flex Plays 1, 2 and 4.

Washington-Double High Plays 6, 2 and 8. Make sure Jamison is at PF and not Jefferies.

Here are a listing of Teams that run a variation of Zone Defenses within there vase defenseive packages. All teams have zone defenses but these teams utilize it more so than others. I reccomend assigning these Zones to a Defensive Quick play slot before you play these teams.

        Minnesota-(1-3-1 Zone)
        Dallas-(2-3 Shifting Zone)
        Boston-(2-3 Zone)
        Charlotte-(2-3 Zone)
        Memphis-(1-3-1 Zone)
Phoenix-(1-3-1 SF up top Zone) Joe Johnson or Q.Richardson
        Utah-(2-3 Shifting Zone)
        New York-(2-3 Shifting Zone)

I did the exact same thing as you.

And to the above poster, no offence, but do it yourself.
Noone is likely to post an AR file of this. It only takes about 3 hours, like he said.

All I have to say is WOW!! I tried these sliders and playbooks and they have made Live a lot of fun and very realistic.

I played two games on 10 minute settings and went 1-1.

                        Lakers 98 (52% shooting) Me-Clippers 89 (48%)
                        Knicks 77 (43% shooting) Me--Nets 101 (53%)

What I loved is Kobe went for 48 against me and they really worked it to him and Odem. The Knicks were Marbury and Houston heavy which was great too.

This is why OS is the best board around. Playmakers, I thank you for making my gaming experience that much better.

                            Playmakers,

The problem i seem to be having with this game, as well as ESPN, is there neevr really seem to be any defensive mismatches in 1 on 1 situation, If i have Kobe, or T-Mac, and say.. Boozer, or brand gets switched to guardignthem, i cant just break my man and get to the basket, it seems as if the defense reacts so fast, if you do use a move and they get broken down, they get back up so quick, that you cannot run past them,.
Have you encountered this problem??, has anyone for that matter??.. If so how have you remedied it??

Thanks so much for all your efforts.
