Try these plays next time when you play the Bobcats.....This will get Omeka the rock.

    Sideline 1
    Utah 3
    Inside 4

All three players are tailored towards the PF posistion. Use all three if you like and Okafor will get a touch every time down floor. It also will reduce the amount of shots your perimeter players take.
I'm pretty sure I had Sideline Tri 1-2-6 and then Box for the 4th quickplay. Many times.. the Bobcat players with the ball would just sit there for a long time holding the ball as the shotclock wound down.. then launched.. Okafor was listed as PF and Brezec at C.

Yes you are correct those were the original plays I tailored for them but his (Okafor) Primacy rating was so low that they very rarely looked to him on offense even though I tailored two plays to him. I'm not sure if you can change his Primacy rating in your dynasty now but if you can those plays should work fine after you boost him up in that rating. If you can't change it I would suggest using all three of the above listed plays becuase those should give the CPU very limited options without going through the PF spot first.

Ah I see, next time I play them, I'll try it out. Also, for the Warriors - is it still best to use Box as their playset with the addition of Davis? I had no problem getting him to fill the stat sheet in that game (28-8-7) and the rest of the players got their share for the most part. Also, how do you determine who to put on High/Med/Low press? Med for superstars like Kobe? Low for players like Prince?

          Thanks for all the help

I actually set defensive pressure to low on all SF's, SG's and PG's. I use this philosophy for both teams duirn regular season play. It helps to reduce block shots on the perimeter and it creates better spacing because if you watch an NBA you very rarely see guy's playing up tight on the perimeter. They usually play the drive and force you to take jumpers. In the Playoffs I switch it medium on ALL star perimeter players like Kobe, T-Mac or Francis.

All PF's and Center's are set to HIGH defensive pressure because all teams try to defend the paint closely.

As for Davis going to the Warriors try this combo so he and Richardson will dominate the ball.

                  Secondary 1 or 4

                      thanks.

Ok before you start the game switch the controller to the team that you will be playing against for Example you are Boston and your playing against Seattle. You are going to the QUICK PLAY setup not the OFFENSIVE PLAYBOOK screen. Once you get to QUICK PLAY area you will see 4 assigned plays already for Seattle. Iso, Post up, Pick N Roll and Basket Cut for example.

Ok what you are going to do is change those plays to 3 designed plays. IN other words you will replace the first three quick plays with a team specific play for Seattle. In the 4th slot you will use that as your own teams Offensive Playbook....keep in mind you don't not have to assign play # next to this slot only the Playset your team will run. Here's an example of how it will look when your done.

                      SEATTLE QUICK PLAYS

                      Motion-9
                      Motion-3
                      Motion-6
Stagger-(You are Boston they will run Stagger offense this is the only slot)

Now, here's how it works. Seattle is going to cycle through the first 3 plays that I listed above. Make sure you have the play # listed and not just the selected offensive playbook. This is how you trick or force the CPU into running these plays for their Star Players. The very last slot is going to be for your team only which is Boston. The CPU will never run that Play andI believe it's becuase EA uses that slot for a quick play called 4-Corners when teams only use it run out the clock towards the end of a game. Thats why I used that slot for only the team you will be controlling.

Now once you have done all this PRESS START it should take you back to the pause menu I believe where you will see other gameplay options. Go to defensive pressure setup and assign defensive pressure for Seattle against your players. Hit start again once your done. Now, hit start again and you should go to the Tip Off. MAKE SURE YOU HIT PAUSE right after the ball is in play. Now go switch controllers over to your team which is Boston and the plays will be saved and you can run Boston's entire playbook STAGGER by pressing on the D-Pad for that assigned play it will randomly call all plays out of Stagger for you and Seattle will run only the 3 assigned plays you listed in the Quick play section.

You can also mix and match plays from different sets by using the same format. Example below

                      Motion-9
                      Secondary-6
                      Motion-6
                      Stagger

Now Seattle has two plays from a Motion Playbook and one play from a Secondary Break Playbook.

Playmaker, i really appreciate the effort to explain to me thoroughly the procedure. thanks man.

have a few more questions though of you don't mind...

Where is the QUICK PLAY screen? is it in a another version of the game (the PC version perhaps?) coz all i have is the PS2 version and i'm prety sure we dont have the QUICK PLAY menu screen. (if that's the case that really sucks coz i really look forward to your slider setups)

And you say i should hit the pause button AFTER THE BALL IS IN PLAY. what does this mean? after the referee throws the tip or after a player gets control of the tip?

Thanks a lot man. i'm sorry if i'm botherin you with the explanations stuff. i really appreciate it.

Iso, Post up, Pick N Roll and Basket Cut for example.

The quick play screen for PS2 is in the settings main menu I believe. About pausing, I'm not sure - that's a good one.
