That is amazing and this kid deserved every bit of that success for one game.

Yeah, the locals have been pretty fired up over this story for the last week. Pretty neat.

This kid didn't just make one basket. He made 6 three-pointers. Story of the year...
Thanks for the link, I heard about it over the radio and I wanted to watch it, and it's one of the best videos I ever saw.

When did ya'll get teary eyed? After ya'll heard it and then watched it? I just can't see how ya'll did. I felt more of an unbelievable feeling. Didn't even look autistic from the way his form was. Looks like he's been practicing. Hey, Duke could try to recruit him.

These stories are a dime a dozen. Special ed kid is the team equipment manager/last man on the bench, gets in for the final game, and makes a 3 pointer. Crowd goes wild, other team lets the kid shoot easy shots, everyone cries, and you feel good in the cockles of your heart. If this was an amazing achievements, there wouldn't be a different kid doing it on the news every week.

I know, I'm going to hell.

First of all, I haven't heard any other stories like these. Secondly, he didn't make a 3 pointer. He made six of them, scoring 20 points in 4 minutes. And looking at the video, it really didn't look like they were giving him wide open buckets. They were at least mildly contested.

So what's wrong with a feel-good story every once in a while? Would you rather hear about the petty contract demands of NBA players, the sage of Terrell Owens, or something more negative? This is a true achievement, a kid overcoming a disability to accomplish a rather amazing feat.

This kinda thing is not nearly as common place as you say it is either.

Well, it seems to me that at least once a year, a high school kid here in Minnesota does it. And it just seems rare because all you DO hear about is the TO garbage, or negative stuff about athletes. I'm not putting the kid down or anything, I'm just saying stories like these seem to come out all the time, I've seen 2 in the last month (local news, and REAL Sports on HBO).

let him score? the dude was atleast 2-3 feet off the line in many attempts. he shook the opposing D and they never responded... probably shocked at the crowd going wild
