Amazing no matter how you slice it. Good for that kid. To the guy ripping the achievement, imagine living a day in that kid's shoes once. It should make everyone appreciate how lucky some of us have it. He earned the right to have this amazing moment. To see the way his teammates and fans reacted is as good as it gets.

Said they were up. That's when the coach put him in the game. After his first airball, the coach was considering subbing him out. They just showed it during the game of Pistons vs. Cavaliers. Kid seems to look normal and all. He even had some clever quote at the end talking about a pistol that got hot or something like that. Said he got it out his system with the first shot. Kind of amazing on the real for real.......

I just saw that on ESPN. I was expecting the kid to make maybe one shot but that guy was hitting threes from everywhere. Why isn't he a starter?

while it was a nice story, you could clearly tell that they were giving him the ball every time down the floor and letting him shoot pretty much uncontested

i hate to diminish what he did. but there are different degree's of autism. for all we know he could be a level 1 guy and we cant even tell he's autistic. once people and the media recall it numerous times, it becomes the new norm. i dont want to sound ignorant but i hope that makes sense.

He's seems like he's not rainman level autistic but you can DEFINITELY tell he's got something going on with him. I don't know the different "levels" but I do know it's pretty obvious from the interviews he's done.

But like an earlier poster said about the other team giving him the open looks, even if you gave the average guy open looks would he be able to nail 3 after 3 after 3 after 3....? I know I couldn't, I'm not even gonna lie.

These stories are a dime a dozen. Special ed kid is the team equipment manager/last man on the bench, gets in for the final game, and makes a 3 pointer. Crowd goes wild, other team lets the kid shoot easy shots, everyone cries, and you feel good in the cockles of your heart. If this was an amazing achievements, there wouldn't be a different kid doing it on the news every week.

I know, I'm going to hell.
