Question: What does the distance between your XBox and Television have anything to do with? Can having your XBox too close to your TV cause problems?

according to XBOX, they advise against it heavily.

I was told that the XBOX has two fans (which is the most in any console since other consoles have one) for extended play time. The fans are so powerful that at times it may suck in waves emitted from a television, cd player, dvd player, or any other similar electronic, that may interfere with the XBOX system.

It can sometimes be the reason why your XBOX can not detect a cd, or says that the disc may be dirty. it's not always the lens.

Re: Most exciting game I ever played on ID2003

so it's pretty darn official that I can't play a franchise with ID2003 and my XBOX.

Anyone know a number I can contact ID2003 developers or somethign with? And not an XBOX number like 1800-4MY-XBOX. B/c they only seem to be concerned about the system.

I know it's not my XBOX. How?

        1. I put in my ID2003 cd and I get a, "can't read disc" message.

        2. I put in NFL 2k3...game runs perfectly fine.

        3. Go back to ID2003, get a "can't read cd" message.

        4. I delete the entire game file.

        5. Place ID2003 back on, game works fine.

        6. Save a franchise past the third game of the season (I've tried simulating past the third game and playing through the third game, and I get the same problem)

        7. Repeat process

So obviously it's ID2003 AND my XBOX. Not one or the other. Reason I know this is b/c I've already tried three different ID2003 cds and I continue to get the same problem. If the game does decide to magically go through and work (and not give me the cant read disc message) the game ends up freezing either:

        1. During the starting lineup screen while its loading into the actual game

        2. Just before tip off as the ref is about to throw up the ball

        or
        3. During the first quarter. Which it then emits an "eeeeeeeehhhh" sound.

        This is frustrating!
