Re: anybody here think Live is a funner game than 2k3?
I played Live 2003 for the first time a couple weeks ago and I must say the passing was 10 times better than the passing in NBA2K3. Much more fluid and you could run breaks very effectively, as AI teammates actually ran the floor halfway realistically.
That said, it reminded me of the basketball games you'd play at the arcade in the old days. It was way too easy to 'freestyle' your way to the basket whenever you want.
The few times the D actually showed up, it was over-the-top, realism-wise. Every block I saw was of the "into the 3rd row" variety. I couldn't even keep count of how often the guy I played against "stole" the ball from me by KNOCKING my player on his ***! Now, I don't know about you, but in most real games I watch, they call a foul on a defensive player when they knock the player with the ball down from behind and take the ball.
For me, it's one of those games that's fun to play when you're partying and not really playing to take the game halfway seriously. I do wish NBA2K3's passing was more like Live's, though.

Not to be a dick, but just so you know "funner" isn't a word.

are you sure it`s not a word? well according to webster it is. but they say it used as an ''inflected form' here`s the link-
Find definitions for over 300,000 words from the most authoritative English dictionary. Continuously updated with new words and meanings.
but to answer the question i would have to say 2k3 is more fun (funner) than live. the AI in live is pathetic and the gameplay is fit for a 12 year old. this just makes the game... well... not so much fun, unless you just like seeing dunks all the time?
i strongly recommend inside drive `03 or 2k3.

Re: anybody here think Live is a funner game than 2k3?
that website must be broken.
funner is not a word.
the forms of fun should be...
1. fun
2. more fun
3. most fun
funner and funnest (for that matter) are not words."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
