Live is total garbage out of the box, anyone who watches real basketball knows this.

With that out of the way, you do realize that .001% of people who own live actually take hours of there time and edit every inflated stat. Because without the tweaking, the genesis versions are better. The blocks are just terrible, everyone can block anyone, and the offense always gets them back anyway. You get NO reward for attempting to run a half-court offense in live, it is discouraged to driving since once the animation starts it is impossible to stop a slam. The steals aren't even real, watch the replay, the guy grabs the ball out of thin air with one hand. Guys like Ervin Johnson do this. Guys like sam cassell do double pump fake fingerolls every time. Anthony Mason does a backwards slam EVERY time he is under the hoop, I have NEVER seen him do that. Yes the AI plays ore to there tendencies(but 2k3 is online, so that eliminates this advantage), but they don't PERFORM like they do in real life. Basically it cool for a while, but it gets boring since it is basically a 5-5 NBA Jam. I almost forgot that the rebounding and foul system is the worst in the buisness as well,

oh and at the end of the qtr. the game zooms out for some dumb reason, the basket WILL count.

Uh, Erv? About that “.001%”…….. You might wanna’ take a look at the Live editing thread (‘for those of us Live players’) created by moi that has over 8,000 views and over 350+ entries…..

You may just find there are just a few more people than your original estimation that find Live to be WELL worth editing……..

If you don’t think it's worth editing then fine but at least be accurately informed in your retort.

Not that I really care, but I can view a thread 100 times myself in the course of a day and post 20 times in that same thread. Considering how long that thread's been around it's possible that 90% of those post could be from 2 people.

Not to mention even they are all from different people (which they're not) all the people are on a Sports Gaming website in a basketball sports gaming forum. If you think the people of OS represent the majority of the people that buy Live then you need to explain how Live could possible outsell anything including ShootOut, unless you think OS represents the majority of people that bought all basketball games. In which case you need to get out more.

Then you would appear, in the eyes of most posters here, to be an awful lonely person to have to post that many times between yourself and one other person would you not?

And incidentally, that is far from the case as is evidenced by it’s rating which is generated from multiple users’ voting…. Another obvious oversight perhaps…?

I don’t make money off any of these games. I play what I like. Some of you sit around all day long on your computers arguring like you have stock in the company or something….

My point was rather simple: there are clearly more than “.001%” of people that find Live interesting and who have a very good time with it. Unfortunately, with society, certain (insert your descriptive adjective here) types of people deem it necessary to demean anyone who does not share their opinion and that is where uninformed remarks like the one I was replying to derive.

Some just feel the uncontrollable urge to make themselves feel better by putting down something they don’t like. What enjoyment they derive from this baffles me but to each their own….

It really makes me no difference what those people say, what ‘Erv’ (incorrectly) claims or frankly, even what you think…

I simply saw an opportunity to inform the statistically ignorant and decided to take it.
