i agree with you on that one!! i`m sick and tired of RAP and that terrible 80`s rock music you hear in games like madden!

    but to answer the question-

    </font><blockquote><font class="small">Quote:</font><hr />
How do you save music to your harddrive and listen to it while you're playing?

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

some xbox games come with a feature called burning CD music or something like that? basicly you just download the music onto the xbx harddrive from a music CD and the game searches your HD for songs and then it can play`em during the game.. VERY nice feature!

right now i think only a couple of games have this FEATURE. AMPED and TONY HAWK... amped is a great game i like it a lot! it`s a snowboarding game. haven`t played tony hawk yet...

How is the franchise mode in this game? Pretty comparable to 2k3? How do the stats average out through the years etc.. Trades, etc. Fairly realistic? Ive heard 2k3 is better in this area. Im not overly concerned about options. More concerned about the realism and accuracy of what is actually there. Accuracy of stats, cpu controlled teams being active, realistic trading system, player progression, etc..

Is this game singlehandedly that good to buy an Xbox. Honestly.. All i really play are sports games. Im perfectly happy with 2k3, but some of the comments on here have me intrigued.

I was in the same boat and then got XBox. I think its worth it for ID2003 alone.

If you're a basketball fan, and like video games, Inside Drive is the best game, hands down.

The XBOX also has a tremendous DVD player in it with pretty good sound.

Not to mention you can get either a 2 game or 3 game deal with it now, so it's a good buy.

Not to mention XBOX Live is awesome.

XBOX is certainly the premiere system around right now, and I think it's going up. Is it worth one game? It depends how much you love basketball.

I actually owned an X-box when it was first released and returned it. It was cool, but there werent many games for it at the time. I did not like the controller at all. I am a huge basketball fan though and am looking/ willing to spend for the absolute best game. I do play 2k3 online alot and that is one I would miss in ID, but if the franchise mode is good then that will more than make up for it.

i`m not really an expert in franchise mode hopefully someone else will answer those questions you have about franchise ..

but as far as stats go- the stats are pretty realisitc... i`ve seen shooting stats anywhere from 40-55% it just depends on how well the AI is playing defense/offense and how well you play defense/offense and coach your team. rebounds and assists are accurate and the others like 3 point shots are realistic etc..etc..

apparently 2k3 franchise is the best but ID has some things that 2k3 doesn`t have like it tracks the accomplishments of players in the league throughout the season...

for example-- ID tracks the players that have the most games with 30 points scored. and it tracks who has the most 40 point games, number of double doubles you have etc..etc..
ID is really made for stat junkies! it keeps track of scoring leaders, assist leaders etc..etc..

but i do think the best features in ID are the player tendency sliders and attribute editor.

i guess you`ve heard of them? well if not--

the player tendency slider is VERY unique.. let`s say you think Webber is not looking for enough rebounds well just adjust his tendency slider and he looks for more rebounds. or you think Francis is not looking for enough 3`s just move a slider and he will look for more 3`s etc..etc... this feature is REALLY cool!

the attribute editor is nice too! let`s say for example you think Kobe is a little fast in this game just adjust his 'speed' attribute and he is now slower. you can adjust any attribute on a player etc..etc..

for the most part you can MAKE ID play the way you want it to play that`s really the strong point of this game. if you`re playing as the lakers you can run the triangle. if you`re playing as the spurs you can post up duncan.. if you`re playing as the celtics you can run 3 point plays.

that`s really what ID is all about.

I think Im sold. Thanks. Any more info on franchise mode would be appreciated though. Like i said Im not overly concerned about options. Just more that everything works teh way its supposed to. I think the major flaw with alot of these games nowadays is these designers try to fill up these games with so much stuff, but when it comes down to it it doesnt do what it is supposed to. ID sounds like it is what im looking for.. Ill have to see it to believe it though.
