        Re: ID 2003: the problems

I agree on mostly every point mad by all of you.

But one things for sure, I've played arounnd 24 games and no game has been the same.

Sometimes Bibby would step it up against me and get alot of points. Next Time Peja was doing the scoring. One time Peja, Chris, and Mike all had a dozen or so points.

Granted I played against the kings about 15 times, each game was different.

It's pretty hard IMO to analyze the game after only a few games. Sometimes the Defense would show up to ball and other times I could get by everyone.

It's pretty damn un predictable from my experiences.

And that's why I love it...no two games are the same and different guys get hot.

Exactly like the real NBA...and I have absolutely no f###ing idea how they managed to get the AI to be like that. It's amazingly cool.

Every, and I mean EVERY, NBA game I have played before the worst moment has always been my first win. Because, that's the moment you think "oh no...that's it" and you've beated the CPU. Didn't matter if it was the Bulls in their peak of the Clips at their worst, every game was the same and you could then go on a huge unbeaten run until you were so bored the game got flung across the room and into a bin somewhere.

This is the only game I have ever played where I have won by 10, won by 2, lost by 14,lost by 2, lost by 18...and so on. This is the only game where I have had genuine match up problems, ie using Seattle I could hang with guard orientated teams...but was getting pulverised by teams with good big guys inside.

I also love how my own guys have good and bad nights.

I started a new season with Philly and DC had two poor games. After two game he was averaging 6 and 8.

Against NYK i went to him early, posted up weatherspoon a few times and suddenly he got hot and I rode him for most of the first half. He cooled off after that and AI and KVH took over...but DC finsihed with 19 and 12.

It just felt cool to see diffent guys step up.

                Re: ID 2003: the problems

I haven't noticed much full court press being used.

Re the zone...I think one reason we are all having different gaming experiences with ID is that a LOT depends on what team you are playing as.

I have played heavily using Detroit (full short season in ID2002 and 03) Seattle (about a dozen games 2003) and now Philly. I have also played a lot of individual games.

Using Seattle, the zone didn't seem to bother me much as I shot from outside, but using Philly and Detroit it really caused me trouble.

I also have deke's down 2 notches...so it's a lot harder to blow past defenders for me and the CPU.

What have you got deke's set at?
