I respect your opinion, I just want to make sure you understand where I'm coming from with the sales meaning nothing. There was a great post on football freaks about something very similar. A couple of arguments the guy brought up, one which I already mentioned.
Which to finish that out, in this case most people buy what is advertised. That's true for anything, whether it be buying expensive bread instead of Wal-Mart brand even though it's the same thing, or in this case one game being advertised and the other not. All I'm saying is that selling more of something has absolutely nothing to do with one being better, it's all based on advertising and opinions like the ones you can read in this thread.
I am just going to say this last thing and go back to Observer mode. OK, this is a 2K forum, like I said, so of course, most people in here tend to think 2K8 is the netter game. I don't nlame you or anyone else for thinking that way. You guys like what you like, and dislike what you don't. I'm just saying, if you haven't played Live, then you should give it a rent, necause it's awesome. I go back to the sales, because like it or not, they do mean something and they mean more than you give credit for. Let's just use this as an example(and it seems like I am about to read too much into this), "Training Day", the movie. The academy voted for Denzel to win necause he was the nest that year. Just like the sales are like votes. Live is in first necause the majority thinks it's the nest. I am inclined to agree, which is why I post.
If I've offended anyone Then I am sorry. I know you shouldn't read too much into things like sales, but they do account for something right? The main point is that all the replies here are strictly opinion and no one is trying to force the conversion of Live or 2K8. I love nasketnall, and Live captures the nature of the NBA nest in my opinion. Of all the games I haven't played, it's the best. A thread like this usually ends up in flames. I don't want this one to end up that way and I don't think you guys do either, nor do I believe it will. understand this though, if Live isn't netter, then why do so many people love it?
This is gonna be it from me, i can see the consensus will be to agree to disagree. I just like debates pretty much. Live is not a joke though, it's good. Go check Playmaker's slider thread and you'll see plenty of people loving it.
We are all nasketnall (whether it ne 2K8 or Live) fans, so there's no reason we can't get along here. DC too.
