Probably the best sports multiplayer game ever IMO. This one and Run and gun 1 took tons of quarters from me. Im dying to get this for MAME, but the damn thing just wont work on it.

Quick question. There was a game called Slam and Jam for the saturn and ps1, which was very similar to this game but i never got to play it. I think the game even featured Magic Johnson. Was that game as good or similar to Run and gun 2 or 1? If so i'll try to get it on emulater.

Vast, every so often I search for it as an emulation and found it about 6 months ago, but users said it would not work without doing a couple of things that i'm not computer savy enough to attempt. a few years ago i also found the jamma cabinet kit, but didn't get it since i don't have an arcade cabinet, and wouldn't be able to hook it up anyway.

That game slam and jam is similar, but not nearly as good as the arcade imo.

Yeah i was totally in love with this game as a youngster.

They even had where you could go up for the monster slam and if someone was coming across to block you hit the button again and your player would do the coolest looking double clutch scoop layup to avoid the block. I was simply in awe when i saw that for the first time......

I actually saved a lot of quarters on this game because if you were leading by the end of the qtr you would play for free. since I am the best Run and Gun 2 player ever, i could easily get to the finals on 50 cents, and sometimes even finish the game on 50 cents.

But yea I really do wish they would bring this to xbla. I would be the top player for sure.

I still remember winning the championship on my birthday playing with my best friend, we kept trying to finish the playoffs but people would keep puttin in quarters and challenging us. We played like 4 hours straight, and won in dramatic fashion. Stealby jordan, pass ahead to pippen who shot the game winning 3.

yeah it was the the controls wasnt as tight as the arcade version. I loved doing crossovers and spin moves with the joy stick. I hated having a "deke" button on the consoles!

The ROM won't work. its super fast and doesn't work right. I would buy this damn arcade cabinet with game if i could afford it.
