Hedo & Jose are better in 2K10, in my opinion. Live players look cartoonish to me. Not to mention those blue eyes Hedo has in Live...wow! Live's faces look like old-school sport games: get a photo of the player and paste it on the 3D model. That's great...for the PS2 era. 2K's faces look more lifelike, less cartoonish.

Hedo & Jose are better in 2K10, in my opinion. Live players look cartoonish to me. Not to mention those blue eyes Hedo has in Live...wow! Live's faces look like old-school sport games: get a photo of the player and paste it on the 3D model. That's great...for the PS2 era. 2K's faces look more lifelike, less cartoonish.

I know you got your on opinion but some of these 2k faces are hideous. I don't know how you can really say that Hedo pic in 2k10 looks like him. I actually wonna see a 2k9 vrs 2k10 comparison cause I swear 2k9 had better faces. 2k9 kobe kobe looks better then both lives and 2k10.

I wonder about the fairness of these comparisons. Particularly Jose & Hedo, the real picture is no doubt the exact one Live got to map the faces. I'd guess 2K's reference pictures are different.

FWIW the Live faces based off the base picture are pretty awesome right down to the hair.

2K10 player models are very life-like. NBA Live still looks cartoonish in my opinion, they look very shiny and have very similar body structure. In 2K, the bodies are very detailed and you can tell that is them by looking at the shape of their body/head. The facial expressions are also very realistic. NBA Live's faces are very blank and lifeless. Although I do think Kobe looks a bit more like himself in Live. I think it's the eyes..lol

Are you guys saying I'm trying to make the Live screens look better? I Will from now on put the screens up untouched, I just hate how blurry they are. Any touch ups done were auto's, and done to all 3 (the 2k, live, and real). I had a feeling someone might say something that's why I put notices on the pics with touch ups.

As far as the picture I choose, I just google the player and look for the perfect picture (facing the camera with the least emotion). That is all nothing more nothing less, and I still would like for other users to post some of their own. Doesn't have to be faces, it can be about anything visually.

Yeah, some 2K10 faces are off. But technically (or technology wise), 2K10 faces are superior. Live faces - technically - look like old school basketball video games. Same old Live. Try to look at it this way: If you were looking at 2 animation movies - which one would look more real to you? And don't give me that "Live's Hedo face is like his real photo" - becase it may be at the same postion and the face looks more accurate - but by now I would expect Live to have technology that makes it look more like real life.
As for body models, I was looking at the LeBron screens that they showed us - you know with all the arm and leg muscles - it looked really good. Then I saw screens of many other players - none of them look this way. It's like that LeBron muscle screen was different from everything I've seen. I wonder why...
