So do you like Live because it's fresh or because its a better playing game? Freshness wears off but gameplay last until next year.

I have both as well and honestly I leaning a little towards the 2k sid. Not really sure what it is that keeps me going back. I'm going to bloging about the two games later. I got Live on Friday and 2k on Saturday and I'm giving both a fair shot.

I've tried Live and 2k is going to be better, to much automatic stuff going on in Live it almost plays itself, half the shots the cpu takes are some crappy leaners toward the basket, I don't like the play calling (except that the play can happen on either side), Fiba has players looking like crap and in the wrong positions ratings probably messed up as well, net sound sucks (heard the same about 2k), no practice mode just the fancy arena, Live season is useless imo wtf am I supposed to play one season for 6 months like in real life? And shooting with the x button, blah, free throw shooting pretty lame, you have this bar and you have to press x at a certain time.

I can't imagine 2k doing worse than this.

I have both retail games. As far as the way the AI plays, features, looks, commentary, bodying up on D, shot blocking, 2K is a more complete basketball game.

Live by no means is garbage. Its a good game. I actually like the size of the players in live better than 2K but dont like the cartoonish look.

I did play a few games of 2K online last night and man it was jive slow/laggy and hard to control my big men. You had to be real careful with the sticks. I did not like that at all. The game played better last year online IMO. I dont know if that was just the person I was playing or the norm, but it needs work.

I have not played Live online yet.

You really cant go wrong with either game. They both are fun and some stuff is gonna flat out fall down to preference.

If I could only buy one it would be the 2K game, but I have NO problems buying Live this year.

if you want suggestions from people here on os there is only a select few that you can trust b/c they are unbiased and will tell the truth like da_czar and a couple more but anybody else will tell you a biased answer just b/c they been with that game for a while.

My answer to you is to rent them both and which ever one you are feeling the best go ahead and buy it b/c both games are good and it comes down to what you perfer in the end.

I had 2K10 for a while and just got Live last week, to be honest im leaning more toward Live. Live really stepped it up this year the gameplay is real smooth and the shooting is more fluid/responsive. I know NCAA 10 Basketball will be pretty good judging what EA did with Live. To be honest i loved 2k through out the years, but Live really took it this year IMO.

They got LBJ avg only 21ppg in one thread I read......Another thread stated that LBJ got traded to the Clippers for Baron Davis....I mean there is no way in hell that LBJ avgs 21ppg or ever gets traded....I mean LBJ for Davis...come on EA....if you would have spent the 2 weeks putting a programer on this I know of at least one new customer you would have gained....me.....now I am going with 2K again as they stated that they fixed the simmed stats early in in the build and they did exactly what they said......the producer also said that it only took 2 weeks to improve them and that they put one guy on it.

How can EA with all its resources just completely over look an entire feature as big as Dynasty Mode?......They know the fans want it but they chose to ignore it which is why they have been getting real used to finishing second in the bball franchise race.

Listen to the fans EA as it is "The year of the fan" as the competitor both said and proved.
