Really? So watching Jackson do what he can do on the dance floor is an apple to watching the orange of Jordan doing what he can do on a basketball court? You may not get the impact of Jordan's affect on the game like a person that experienced it, but genius basketball is genius basketball.

Watching Jordan on youtube, VHS or DVD doesn't have the same impact as to watching as it happen, especially when they can now see Kobe or LBJ in there prime... I bet AAU players of today are probably saying pattern the game after Kobe instead of MJ.

I tried in the 90s, it was always sold out

I deal with these kids quite often and anyone I've spoken to knows that people still hold Jordan in higher regard than Kobe.

Quite honestly this shouldn't even be a discussion. It's like asking someone if they know who is in power in their country. There will always be a few individuals who don't know amazingly enough, but they are very limited.

As much as I think that MJ is the best ever and gonna stay this way for a long long long long long time....ehhh...what was I talking about? Oh, yeah...well, it's still based on opinions. When I was in 10th grade (1991-92), my best friend liked Drexler and used to believe that he's better than MJ. After the Finals he told me that he was wrong all this time, and there's no competiton, MJ is far better. I believe he knew it long time before the Finals but wouldn't give up. What I want to say is that it's all based on opinions. And if someone thinks that John Wall (just as an example) is better than MJ, there's not much you can do to change his/her mind. Soon enough MJ will be for youngsters, what Bill Russell is for us. Though I respect Russell even if I hardly seen him playing. While today's kids don't care about what happend even 5 years ago. It's not their fault, that's the world we live in today - everything lasts for a little while and then you want something new and "who cares that this cellphone was the most amazing thing 6 months ago?!". That's too bad, but that's the world we live in. I don't behave/think like that, but that's probably the reason why I'm considered different almsot every where I go...

As for EA and 2K, it seems like it's a "who's gonna blink first" situation this year. Each company's waiting for the other to show something... Im pretty sure that by this time the past few years, we would already get gameplay videos by EA. Not this year.

I think with MJ on the cover it puts a lot of pressure on 2K to produce an even better quality game because by using MJ they're basically equating themselves to lofty expectations. With that, I think 2K will do right and wouldn't have been so bold to place him on the cover if they didn't feel they had a far more superior product.

Michael Jordan aka the GOAT is gracing the cover NBA 2K11 and is possibly a playable character(s) in the game. This is a VERY big deal and I can promise you that unless NBA Elite makes the biggest overhaul ever seen in sports videogames, MJ 2K11 will sell out Worldwide. NBA Elite with Kevin Durant(very good player on the rise) on the cover, will not outsell them.

As someone who isnt really into basketball but loves sports video games. I can see the appeal for having MJ on the cover but for casual basketball gamers I dont think its as great as some may think. After all it is just the cover of the game but honestly I dont think the MJ brand is as strong as it use to be. The younger generation doesnt want to be like Mike anymore.

You go to random arenas and you see his logo. his shoe brand has been around for 25 years and its still among the most popular today. Guys wish they could have that type of longevity.
