Ok thats cool, everyone has their opinion.

Mine personally, about those Live 2003 cutscenes...they make the players look 'queer'.
Anyway since when do players steal the coaches seat? When does a player (always the centre in Live)sign an autograph on the way to the locker rooms at half time and get caught and told off by the coach? These, and all the others make the game look comical (which will be fine alongside 2004's midgets, hehe!) and really if they even exist at all, should only be seen at the All Star Game.

The 'normal' stuff like when a coach has a quick word to a guy as he subs in, they are fine though.

Sega, Sega, Sega, why did you drop the ball? Before you guys slam this statement, keep reading. Sega released it’s basketball game in the form of NBA2k, and captured the heart of many. Not only were the graphics fresh, new, and nice looking, but it started out from the jump as a great series, and over achieving version, and still is. VC has lived up to it’s name in the 2k series managing to produce the best graphics ever in a basketball game, along with arguably the best post up game in earlier versions, and a nice amount of it’s own animations, MJ type fade-a-way shot, scoop shot lay-up, swatting blocks, etc… Sega has worked hard to put themselves in the race for the title as the best. Although the EA lovers that hate Sega won’t admit it, it is the game with the most potential, and could be the game people we’ve all been waiting for, and it is Lives biggest next door nightmare.

Lastly we have Microsoft and ID

While ID is the most underrated of the 3 it boast the best single player gameplay of the 3. Play against Indiana, and you’ll see Reggie Miller run through double screens to the three point line to drain a jimmy just as you saw him doing on NBC (nbc the good ole days). Play NJ and they will run you up and down the court all game long. Play the Lakers and the triangle offense is in full effect. Play the Magic, and T-mac will light you up. Same with Philly, AI will take you continually to test your heart, and SA will show you an unstoppable Duncan. This games gameplay has many good perks also, with it’s fluid motion, and sim like qualities, it has gained the attention of many gamers who played seasons in disbelief of the lifelike AI qualities.

Great post, but don't forget to mention SEGA/VC and MS/HVS humble beginnings - NBA Action '98 (Saturn/PC)/NBA Fastbreak '98 (PSX) & NBA Inside Drive 2000 (PC) respectively. These are the companies first attempts at an NBA basketball video game and laid the foundation for what we have today.

Stuart Scott? He hasn't been mentioned for 2K4 has he?

I was under the impression Sega had continued with Bob and Rod (or whatever their original guys are called) and it's actually Tom Tolbert who is doing the presentation?

                        Anyone know?

Let me first admit I've been a 2k fan since dreamcast. And though last year I bought 2k3 and it was ok but I thought some of the player movement was stiff. As well as the long distance alley-oops was ridicoulus. And other things as well but it was good but not great.

I also normally wouldn't even think of EA games but because I'm fair I'll try a game before dogging it. But to my surprise I thought this was EA' best upgrade for Live in a long time. But like everyone else I was turned off by the arcadish, drive to the lane everytime, dunkfest that live was. But still the best they have done in a while. Hope they fix those things.

And with ID I have to admit I've played this the least last year, the demo only. But when I played it, it felt alot like the previous year with some minor ugrades. And what happen to live? I didn't think it was a bad game by no means, but just ok.

Oh how I love the competition that makes our games soooo much better. Bring on the games!!!
