Re: Player tendency sliders...
The player tendancy sliders is what makes ID my favorite Basketball game. I bought ID 2002 and thought it was OK and wasn't even really interested in ID 2003. I finally got bored of NBA 2k3 last year and sold it and picked up a cheap, used copy of ID 2003 and was blown away by the gameplay. For Basketball freaks like myself who get annoyed when they notice that Kidd isn't trying to push the ball down my throat or who gets annoyed when K-Mart trys to post me up instead of facing up like he really does in real life, those sliders are the best addition to sports games this generation. Yes, I mean that. Every sports game needs to have player tendancy sliders. ESPN can kill ID in every aspect of the game but if the A.I. isn't perfect then I'm still going with ID because of the player tendancy sliders. With those sliders I can basically customize the game to what I would consider to be perfect in terms of realism. This game is actually the most realistic sim because it's the only Basketball game that can be turned into a total sim with real player tendancies. With the fact that they are fixing offensive rebounds and fouls, my only 2 pet peaves about the gameplay are finally being fixed and there's no way I'm passing up on Inside Drive 2004 on XSN, regardless of what those clueless reviewers (who've never even broken a sweat playing pick up ball) have to say.Comment

Cool post and very true...and what you said on KMart is exactly what I was trying to explain.
This is the only game you can get that specific...where you can set Mutumbo to ONLY shoot hook shots etc and never shoot J's. Where you can set Walker to shoot a tonne of three's. Where you can set Ben Wallace to not shoot. Where you can set players to be as they are...I am not sure most people grasp that.
If ESPN had this...it would blow ID away...but it doesn't unfortunately.Comment

Re: Player tendency sliders...
to me it seemed like this game last year, was the perfect mix between Live and 2k. The player tendency sliders just added a whole new level to it.Comment

Re: Player tendency sliders...
This is what I was talking about...this one's just shooting, but they have them for all facets of the game.
So...easy to set Walker to shoot from down town a lot.
Easy to set Shaq to never take fade aways etc
