    THE ULTIMATE B-BALL GAME?

Seeing not too many topic on today's board, I got a little restless and thought..." maybe the guys wouldn't mind sharing their thoughts on the what if? "

My thoughts on what if, , is that, if there was a union between EA and VC, would you think it's comprehendable that the ultimate b-ball would be concieved? Or, the fact that the two entity are so vastly different in their philosophy, that union between the two will never see the light of day?

Well, I maybe all alone on this topic. Just skipping stones, I guess. Myself, I don't see it happening anytime soon. Or that I wish for it to happen. Because it never will, which is actually a good thing. On their own, these two butting developers are on an uneven kilt. It's almost like a page out of medeivel history, "Grasp and Conquer". But I do believe VC has made more stride as far as giving gamers (for some taking away) a new experience for each year's iteration of their sports title (IMO of course).

honestly, I doubt I'd want VC and EA to combine, because what would happen is pretty clear. They'd effectively kill the competition, leaving us just one game to buy. With no competition, companies can take it a little easier, so we'd more than likely get a substandard product, but since it's the best out there there's nothing we could do. I really like the competition, it's making EA wake up a bit and improve their games.

It's good too see I'm not alone after all. You've touched on points that I think all developers embraced in their mission statements. Keep the competitions guessing, therefore, strive for excellence. Just like the NBA, each seasons - have to keep on making changes in the lineups and for what's there and great, build upon that. Sega going multi-platform couldn't have been anything less than historical for the gaming industry.

                Thanks for your input mgoblue.

Live is still the only game available on PC and now GC as well.

Come on, Microsoft! I know it is considerably more difficult, tedious, and frustrating to develop games for the PC but can't you bring your sports lineup back?!!

I know what the original poster is saying, Ive been there too. "OMG, if only this feature from ESPN was in Live." Unfortunately, what mgoblue said is true and competition must prevail.

I feel you on this issue Sonicmage , I'm sure PC owners are a little distraught on this matter, to say the least GC owners as well. Maybe if sales figure this year rolls in with a positive, who knows...next year perhaps. ...
