Re: Gamezone review is up.
I swear to god, what the F is up with these reviewers!!!!!! What a pointless review, and that will probably cost MS some buyers, along with all the other bad reviews by D&D losers who have never played ball in their lives!!Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. I really hope the whole button mashing thing was wrong though. I dont remember it like that last year.

Re: Gamezone review is up.
Its like that every year for Drive. The reviewers hate it but the gamers love it. It may lack some of the production values of the bigger games but it seems to get the gameplay right. I dunno about the button mashing thing. I remember when NFL 2K3 came out some people had problems, but it wasn't like a game killer.Comment

Re: Gamezone review is up.
Ahh dont let this review get you down guys. And it will not, and I repeat will not make MS lose customers. The word of mouth is there and ppl know that ID had mad potential. But the one thing that you can say MS always fails in is polish. Basically graphical polish. The gameplay was the key point of last years game but what these reviewers wanna see is a beuatuful game and they might not have gotten thier wish. But dont fret, who in the hell can put any trust in a review that did'nt describe one single aspect of the gameplay.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Re: Gamezone review is up.
here`s a few quotes from that review that i just DON`T believe.
</font><blockquote><font class="small">Quote:</font><hr />
The game suffers from sluggish game play and perceived slow controller response issues.
<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">
</font><blockquote><font class="small">Quote:</font><hr />
the actual player movements seem sluggish and forced
<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">
</font><blockquote><font class="small">Quote:</font><hr />
players away from the ball seemed less than realistic.
<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">
these issues were never a problem in 2003, in fact they were STRONG points of the game... i can`t imagine these issues being a problem now?
the only thing that might be a problem are the slow button responses. their are certain moves in 2003 that were a little slow but that was part of the gameplay. for example- in 2003, when you`re in the post, you had to hold the button down to take a step back out of the post and do a jumpshot. but that was no big deal because it was a part of the control scheme. it didn`t effect the overall enjoyment of the game. even if you wanted to do a hook shot, you had to hold down a few buttons. but a regular shot is just one button.
now... i know if someone says off the ball movement in ID is not good is a nut case and probly never watches real basketlball! last year this was one of the reasons you bought ID. the away from the ball movement in ID blew out ALL other basketball games... PERIOD!
theirs no debate in this, ID was superb in this department. so i can`t imagine it being a problem this year? in fact, if you watch the videos of 2004 it`s evident that it is NOT a problem.
this guy probly played the game for about 2 hours and then wrote a review. and i like the way he spells GAMEPLAY. did you notice he always spells it game play. its not 2 words, its one word. my god, this guy can`t even spell gameplay.
but one thing i did like in his review was this--
</font><blockquote><font class="small">Quote:</font><hr />
In many respects, NBA Inside Drive does have great graphical elements. The environments are well rendered, with reflective, highly polished hardwood and great lighting effects. The player modeling is also solid. Some of these players truly resemble their NBA counterparts.
<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">
this is good to hear! this was a minor issue last year. i hope the graphics have improved.Comment
