Hmmm, I don't think a game being officially announced as "gold" now means that it actually went "gold". Didn't Steve get the final beta? Way before the game went "gold".

I think the announcement was more for advertising benefits than a matter of fact. It could have gone gold a while ago, and press copies may have been sent, so they were just biding their time to announce it as official. Though I wonder why they would wait so long to release the game? Maybe it has to do with not getting lost amidst the other b-ball games that are out. I'm disappointed though. I have to admit, I was hoping for realistic deflections in this game, and for the money play where a post player is doubled and the pass by the post player easily splits the double would be much rarer now. ESPN NBA Basketball got this part right, and Live 2004 also has a good double-team system.

In any case, I can't wait to get my hands on the game. I loved ID 2003, and I'm hoping the AI is better than last year's.

Don't worry Neo, HV won't let us down. I love Live this year, but ID will get my money, and I have the feeling that ID will get most of my time too. ESPN did things good, Live did things good, and I think, that with all the things ID did good in the past few years, mixed with the upgrades they did, this will still be my Game of Choice for the 2004 Season. I love the gameplay, and something about the graphics are my favorite, and with the new animations, and new "arc" on the shots, and XSN, I can't wait for this game.

If you know so much about how to review games, then why don't YOU review them?!? That's right, because you find it much easier to sit here and gripe when an interview doesn't put EXACTLY the right spin on a game that you would like, rather than doing something positive about the whole thing.

As a Sega basketball fan, I'll say this, NBA Inside Drive is my second favorite basketball. And, when I played, I don't feel it's far off from ESPN. Reviewers are iodiots, because there is no way Live is better than Drive.
