Re: So is there something that online guys are abusing?

I've played about 4 games online so far. I have noticed that all anyone ever does is dunk. They just run down and dunk. I played one guy who had a 86% field goal percentage. I can't stand it. I don't mind if they are on a fast break as much but they'll just run around me and dunk it. I like to take jump shots but, I have no chance when they dunk. Also the jump pass has been used a lot as well.

Dude the dunking can be stopped, you just have to know how to play defense. The key in head to head is to try and use the off ball defender and cheat over and help the CPU defender against the guy with the ball. You have to get good at icon passing for this.

If people try to just dunk on me I will win. It's the one's that balance outside shooting with inside play that are tough. Plus playing on All-Star level is far better than the default ranking level.

Re: So is there something that online guys are abusing?

Well I'm new to the whole online gaming world and I'm a little disappointed so far.

I have been practicing the last two days and was ready to take someone on.

The games I've had with OSers has been great but I just had an unranked game on Vet (my game) with default rosters and 4 min qrtrs with a stranger.

It started out like it would be fun.

After I made 4 points on him (it was tied) he changed his settings to full court and kept it there ALL game.

I kept getting past him and often took the fast break dunks that he left open but he caused more than a few TOs.

Is that considered cheese or not?

Well then, at the end of the 3rd as I was coming back to tie it up he started intentionally fouling me EVERY time I touched the ball.

Finally I paused the controller for about 3 minutes to cool off and let him know I was pissed. (I do not have a headset yet) and when I came back I sank the Free throws and the T-foul.

He stopped after that as I think I would have gotten possession after his int fouls?

            It was so stupid.

He really just sat up top watching the clock tick and then shot 3's (Kings, I was Nets) or went for a fastbreak dunk on my pressure inbound passes. I was defending his drives pretty well at first and I think he just gave up on the idea of blowing by my hlf-court D for dunks all game.

No setting up an offense no passing around.
Is that what it's like out there?
Doesn't anybody just want to play BBall?
I mean I do this to have fun, not get pissed off at some knucklehead.

What was really sad was that after all that, I had possession with 15 secs down by 3 and had a brain fart and never got my 3 off.

What level is everyone playing on?

Only thing I have seen abused is the shot/pass. This guy would do 8-10 shot/passes each time down the court. Just unrealistic, get them out of a few jams a day.

Nothing really being exploited to badly yet.

Can someone answer the question how to get it off the Newbie level please...Thanks.

I think I have played you njskillz. Trust me, you want to stay on newbie level.

Now, what people are abusing: The jump/pass

And of course, every other fraud taking the Lakers or Dallas.
