Too bad, there's very little footage and pictures of this game. I really like the approach the game seems to have. The graphics and animations are very good to be 8 years ago; they even look on par with some current gen games from 3-4 years ago.

If I remember correctly, the hop-step was tricky. I'm not sure there was a button or it was something that happened in certain situations, or you had to move in a certain way, not sure. That's something I struggled with (well, everything was in Japanese, so there was no in-game help for me).

Did I mention that (if I'm not mistaken) you could assign home and away accessories independently? I'm pretty sure it was there.
      My Specs:

      ZX Spectrum
      CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
      GPU: Monochrome display
      RAM: 48 KB
      OS: Sinclair BASIC

^That's awesome! Would have loved to play this game back then. I'm sure it would've been lots of fun, much like some older basketball franchises from other companies.

I actually played it I think in 2008. But I didn't play it that much since my PS2 had some problems, and also I only played quick games, since I wasn't able to explore all the options and menus (because of the language).

One thing that did bother me (and can probably be seen in one of the videos) that hook shot arch was so high and unnecessary. You couldn't even try to make it hard for the opponent to shoot a hook shot. Once he did, all you could do was look and hope they miss. But I wasn't really good at blocking shots anyway, didn't seem to get the timing right or something. The game definitely took some getting used to, but was really good.

Hopefully Konami will make a comebakc to basketball in the near future. I really like their style and their approach to sports videogames. It would be a very welcome competitor when the next gen arrives.
