Espn does have this option. It is puzzling to see why High Voltage couldn't get the rights to those free agents. ESPN's are pretty up-to-date. At least in comparison to ID 2004.

But at least you can update the rosters, now if Microsoft would put them up, it wouldn't be that big a deal.

Yeah, that's my point. They had the update up once and then took it down. What could have been so wrong with it that they need 2+ weeks to fix?
No, I didn't draft Grossman on my fantasy team, what do you think I am an idiot?

Ok, well I don't have XBOX Live, so it would appear that I'm a bit screwed. Can someone answer a few questions for me:

      1) Even with the update, HV will be able to have all the current NBA signees in the game, but doesn't that mean the FA list will still be populated by "fake" players? ESPN and Live seems to have a FA list populated by real-life players.

      2) If I had Action Replay, would I be able to get the update somehow??

      3) Does anyone know where the best place to get Action Replay is (the cheapest)??

Any answers are much appreciated. Also, I agree that HV utterly dropped the ball on this. Great game, but the inability to edit players names is BS, as is the explanation that "licensing issues" didn't allow them to have this feature. Yes, the licensing issue is that players unsigned at the cutoff date cannot appear in the game. But the NBA and/or the Players Association has no right or ability to prohibit any editing capability HV wants to implement. All the other games have this. Yeah, rosters can be fixed with XBOX Live, but there are people who don't have that, and it's just a screwup on HV's part.
