So how is it that you get enough free throws?

The free throw problem doesn't seem to be fixed to me. I see more than in 2003 but still not enough (20-30 per game). I especially have trouble sending the CPU to the line. And there are still way too muhc and i's. It's frustrating when there is a foul on a lay up but nothing happens and you or the CPU just finish the lay up like there wasn't any foul.

    I have fouls at strict.

I believe you when you say that there are enough free throws but I need to know how you get them. To both you and the CPU.

First off, how many minutes are you playing? Second, it really depends on your slider settings and what level of the game are you playing on. I'd say about 15 FT attempts for each team would be average. It also depends on the teams you play against and the teams you use. For instance, if you have a great defensive team, you're not likely to foul as much since your players are more adept at getting into good position for the block, rebound, steal, or whatever, which means also that there's less dribble penetration by the other team, and less success in posting up.

I've had games where I'd send the other team to the line 30 times, and other games where I'd only send them to the line 6 times. It happens in the NBA, so I don't find much of a problem with that. Certain games, teams will just not be that aggressive and it leads to an imbalance in fouls, with it heavily favoring your team.

Overall, though, I do think the fouls are right. What is missing however are blocking/charging fouls called in the paint when a player forces a dunk/layup.

Re: So how is it that you get enough free throws?

That would be 10 minute quarters and All-Star. I can't see how the sliders affect this since none of them relate to FTs.

At the moment in the NBA the least FT attempts per game is 19.0 by the Knicks. The most is 32.3 by the Lakers. Mostly it's 21-24. 15 per game is too few regardless of the team. And if you look at box scores most of the time it's 18-25. And then rarely there are these 40 FTs and 10 FTs games. Not-too-rare are the games that have 28-35 FT attempts. The norm is about 23 attempts.

I don't think the team matters cause I've played with different teams and I don't see any differences. My team is the Nuggets. In real life they get to shoot 28.4 a game and their opponents 23.6. There is probably no ratings affecting fouling.

How about you, you seen differences?

Next year it'd be nice if your opponents would react to a hot player by fouling him, wouldn't it? And maybe some options for you to try and draw the foul. And 1s are still outrageous. The fouling needs to be perfected next year AI wise and a shooting foul frequency slider would be great.

Anyway, if somebody sees enough FTs in games (by NBA standards) let me know how you do it
