I don't think they need anything really from Live. Just improve at those things themselves.

I'd like a season mode that's linked up to the real NBA season.

Where trades, signings, injuries rosters are synced up to the real NBA season's dates.

Sort of like NBA Today - but in a season mode where the wins/losses are recorded.

Say I'm doing a season with OKC and PG13 gets traded on Feb 1st, I want that to happen on Feb 1st (synced) in my digital season.

I believe NBA Live 10 had something similar - "Live Season" or something?

Those summer leagues/Pro-Am games are so much fun in Live.

Live also has way better clothes. I feel like an actual adult with the clothes in Live. 2K clothes make me feel like my mom took me school shopping at Wal-Mart.

ESPN integration. To be frank, Live doesn't deserve it. 2K did more than this with ESPN integration back on original Xbox. I'd love to see what they can do with it on current gen.

An officially licensed MSG court! The Garden is iconic. I'd love to add my MyPlayer to the list of greats who went off in the Garden. Not the off colored, unofficial one currently in 2K.

ESPN presentation. NBA Live 16 did an amazing job with all the ESPN license they have. I really really really enjoyed the presentation in NBA Live 16. I've always hoped that 2K would go for TNT... but obviously 2K is now more interested in their own 2KTV brand. Honestly, I don't like 2KTV...It's so dull and ugly comparing to ESPN.

Real stadium of TD GARDEN and MSG. Love those classic historical courts but they are absent in 2K.

Live has much better court spacing. The court size feels just right, there is enough room for 10 players to move around. 2K court spacing has always been so cramped that you have little space, wherever you go there will be two or more defenders stopping you. It's so frustrating.

With the point I mentioned above, comes this: the ability to drive, penetrate, and layup like NBA Live. YES NBA Live animation sucks on many different levels, but I really like the way that some fast players in NBA Live (Irving, Curry, CP3, Wall, Thomas etc.) are able to penetrate the court like they do in real life, and able to hit a quick layup inside among tall defenders. In 2K it's been impossible to do this for years. What will happen if you drive to the basket in 2K? Your layup will be blocked by the defender's head/shoulder/chest/arm, and there will be no fouls called. This has been so frustrating.

This isn't really possible. Even if you were willing to play out that season in real time over 8-9 months, you'd still have the issue of winning games. If you're OKC, and you're good at the game, you're going to obviously win more than they do in real life, and with different stats. It also removes your control of the game, what if OKC decides in real life that PG rental is a risk, so when he gets hot right before the deadline, they move him. How would you react if you feel the opposite, as in "PG & Russ work well together, I'm going to build on this duo and try to convince PG to stay" so many little things happen in the real NBA that just wouldn't translate. Players resting for games. Injuries.

A minor implementation of this I'd like to see is realistic progression that can be patched for unexpected breakout players. Every year a guy breaks out and starts to look like he could be the next big thing, but if you started your league before then, it doesn't play out that way, for instance, I got drafted by the Bucks last year, and even though Jabari developed into a decent shooter IRL, he never really improved in My career, so I was stuck on a team where nobody but me and Middleton could shoot.

Haha yeah there would be downsides - but that's also why there are other modes right?

I personally like the idea of mimicking an NBA Season (in terms of roster) without having to do it manually.

Possible or not, it's just something I would personally enjoy. Opinion.
