The halftime and post game report, particularly the top plays of the game. For me it really creates a story throughout each game. Not a fan of the LIVE series but I have been playing the '18 demo a lot just for those halftime/post game reports.

but id like to see the removal of being forced to play mycareer to progress our characters. also once you unlock something (shoes, animations, clothes) for a specific archatype it remains unlocked

Lol. It blows my mind that they can't get something so simple correct.

I'd also go with atmosphere. Also, lighting. Those are 2 huge things that 2K lacks.

And lastly, length of players legs. Live nails it in this dept.

Really don't know how this hasn't been fixed yet. It seems like an easy correction of texture. The old ball you get in Myteam looks more realistic.

NBA Live used to have some kind of "Moments" feature a few games ago, I'm not sure if it's still there or not. I think it was their version of NBA Today, where if Klay Thompson comes out and drops 60 in real life, an actual challenge would pop up in the game where you could try to replicate the performance.

As an aside, I'd love a Moments mode for all the classic teams too. Nothing big, but just a trophy case or achievement keeping a tally of all the moments you achieve. "Use the 2004 Pistons to hold the 2004 Lakers under 70 points", "Drop 63 points with Michael Jordan vs. the 1986 Celtics", "Score ____ percent of your points in seven seconds or less as the 2005 Phoenix Suns".

Also regarding Live, I've always liked their crowd audio and whatnot. I could be wrong but I swear it feels more alive and infinitely more responsive. I wish 2K could hit that level.

Two things EA does that I think 2K can steal are...


1. The ability to change Crowd from Season/Playoff mode
2. The audio team at EA nailed the sound of the game.


3. *Bonus ESPN package. if 2K could steal this, definite game changer!

The one fun factor thing I did like was the playing in the authentic Pro-Am leagues. That was the only thing that gave me the "I wish this was in 2K" effect.

Edit: Remembered something else. I liked the way their generic tattoos that you could assign looked on the CAP.

From the sounds of it it looks like once 2K gets the gameplay to a happy medium. It should focus on atmosphere., crowd, lighting and AUDIO. They're getting the FEEL rite in user controllability. Now we need the things that will bring the game to life.

I usually just turn the crowd volume up, but I'd definitely like better atmosphere. How great would it be for Oracle to sound like Oracle does in the playoffs?
