Sure this wasn't gameplay but the look and animation, especially given this was created over 5 years ago completely blows EA and 2K out of the water.

This is what next gen sports games should be looking like, instead we have companies focused on gambling and micro transactions.

What's the context for that video? Is it gameplay? A pre-rendered animation?

The off-ball movement and animations of the players looks so realistic. You can tell they are saving their energy for when they need to use it.

Pre-rendered CGI footage made for.....guess what, gambling purposes.

The movement looks realistic because it's literally repurposed basketball footage. Not sure what league or level of basketball it comes from, though, if it's motion-captured or from tech similar to 2K's 'Pro Play' animations.

The things holding back consoles isn't so much 'corporate greed' (that is stagnating diversity in what is created more so, IMO), but development costs and CPU memory.

Agreed! The visuals and animation quality were ahead of their time. It’s a shame big studios prioritize microtransactions over real innovation in gameplay and graphics.
