just a note. with my settings I have no problem with my guards driving. i have plenty of pump fakes and guys taking guys off the dribble. its pretty cool to see actually.

post them in the slider forum ill check them out today...

I put the settings on the 2kshare under cad4life modified osu. i would change the 3pt tendancy on my settings to 40 and drive tendancy to 75 and I think you will like it. ball movement is great. if I have to say so myself.

i still cant get my guards to drive enough.

On default MOP my guards drive and the wing players will occasionally crossover and dunk! when they dont dunk it is because the defense fouls them and knocks them down!

All on default except fouls maxed out.

They take plenty mid range shots. actually the most shots they probably take is midrange shots. I could try to give an explanation but I can't as to why it works out but I know mid range shots are plentyful. again most shots are midrange.

its just a first crack so we may have to tweak a little but I think very little if we do.

The sliders really play well, except I was not happy with the tendencies. They wouldnt stop and pop or take a mid range shot before looking outside first. If they drove and someone just stepped in front of them they gave up and looked back outside. I was purposely running mid range plays and didnt like the way the AI played them. They always looked outside forst. Wouldnt hit a cutter or take a shot after getting the defender off his feet with a pump fake.

I changed just the tendencies and got a much better feel. The Fast break was there and they would continue a drive to the hoop instead of stoping and giving up going back outside. They would hit a cutting man and take a shot after a pump fake.

Try changing just these three settings and see if you can tell a difference.

Close Shot Tendency = 40
Midrange Shot Tendency = 50
3 pt Shot Tendency = 30

I left all the rest the same as you posted Cad and found these tendencies to play better.

thats great I will test the tendancies out also. but do you feel like I feel no reason to reinvent the wheel and this is a great starting point for the dynasty. also were you trying the drive 75 and 40 3 point shot because I had very few 3 pointers in my games.

Also, consider the matchup. One or two games will not tell you how the sliders will perform over several seasons, or later on in a legacy with a different team.

Yes I had drivers with the originals, but far too many just throw it up at the 3 pt line. The biggest problem with the default sliders to me was far too much 3 pointers. When I run a play to the inside or a screen step out they would stop the play at first resistance and look to the perimeter. I had wide open looks and the choice being Mid, short or 3 , they chose 3 every time.

Perhaps in older versions getting enough 3 point shots was a problem and they have over corrected. With Drive at 75 and close at 5 is counterproductive. You are making them drive but not finish. It really didnt look right to me at all the way they ran the plays. They just ran up got stopped , did a pumpfake and threw it outside and then a hail mary. I tried to make them "want" the basket more. They want to continue toward the basket or get the best shot. with your 3 point slider so high comparative to the others 3 is the first option to them.

Like I said just try those settings and see if you can follow what I am getting at. I am not saying they are the final word but wanted to illustrate how differently the AI acts while running plays with them reversed.
