Re: **College Hoops 2K8 Bugs/Glitches Thread**
whats with non ball handlers just falling over whenever trying to do a move? seriously so annoying, hows that realistic? have it dribble off their foot, not fall over like a ******* like they just lost their legsSports do not build character. They reveal it.

Re: Late game fouling....but no foul call
I just started my legacy with Texas So. and I am in my first ABL game (I am playing 2 min halfs). When a team goes for a late game foul (the wrap the player up animation) the refs dont blow the whistle.
The AI automatically will keep wrapping up the ball handler and still no call. This usually just results in a turnover.
I usually can look the other way when it comes to glitches but this is a definite game killer.
Does anyone have any help for me? I'd hate to give up on this game since its my first for the 360.Comment

Re: **College Hoops 2K8 Bugs/Glitches Thread**
okay, going back to the original post and my question: does this year's game have the injury bug in it? Since no one else checked it out, I caved in and bought the game. Too bad, because I just threw $60 away. In short, yes this game has the injury bug in it, just like last year and the year previous to that. GRRRRR!!!! 2k, VC, YOU SUCK!!!
For those that don't know what I'm talking about or don't care (which may be all of you, since no one else has mentioned it), when starters on the AI-controlled teams in legacy mode go out for days/weeks with an injury, they DO NOT return to their teams' starting lineups after they heal (unless forced into the role by another teammate's injury). What this means is that, if you're expecting to see NC's Hansbrough or USC's Mayo to dominate a season but they're unlucky enough to have an injury, forget about them getting postseason accolades. That's what happened to me. I've simmed ahead in my legacy and neither Hansbrough or Mayo are now starting, let alone playing any meaningful minutes. Mayo was out for 2 weeks and missed about 5 games. In the 10 games USC's played since his return, Mayo's played a whopping 60 minutes. Hansbrough's injury only kept him out for three games, but you couldn't tell from his stats: in NC's 18 games, Hansbrough now has a whopping 80 minutes of playtime as a scrub backup. I thought if I watched an NC game in action, maybe he'd get in and play more. Um, no. In fact, in that game he didn't play AT ALL, even though he was completely healthy.
THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE, especially since this bug has been in the game for AT LEAST the last three years.
There's the old addage, fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on me.
Fool me three times???
Is there a way a guy can get his money back on this?Comment

Re: **College Hoops 2K8 Bugs/Glitches Thread**
Ok, well im ready to concede that this is a glitch..
-Defense as a whole, the reason the cpu is going crazy is because user defense will just stop guarding guys at times.. and i dont mean getting lost on picks, i mean forget that they were supposed to be guarding someone.
I've tested this on many occasions w/different teams recently, but in one instance I had Brian Randle of Illinois (93 on ball defender, 87 defensive aware) sticking Memphis' Chris Douglas-Roberts.. on numerous occasions, w/different defenses selected i watch as Randle would stop in the paint and jus kinda gaze while CDR would be at the 3 pt line unguarded.. i tried man2man, 1/2 court press, triangle n 2.. everything.. still happens.. but its not isolated to one player, its random as hell.. you have to guess who's not going to stick their man each time down the floor.
This happens both home and away, though away its magnified because the home team will make everything perimeter and inside.
I never thought it would happen, but im close to giving up on this game.
Also, how when you get tip the ball, it bounces right back to the CPU 95% of the time, but when the CPU tips it, they get it 95% of the time. This kind of stuff is making me move more and more away from the game.Last edited by gta95; 12-08-2007, 04:31 PM.Eagles, 76ers, Phillies, Arsenal FC, Wildcats, Vols

Re: **College Hoops 2K8 Bugs/Glitches Thread**
What exactly is the injury glitch? I avoid these threads but I noticed this last night...
In my second year with Michigan I just got to my first game against Indiana this year. I was quite surprised to see DJ White come out to jump center when the game started. I knew he wasn't hurt last year because played against me, I checked his player card in-game and indeed it said he averaged 14 points and 8 boards and was 1st team All-Big 10. Yet the redshirt logo was next to his name even though he played. He scored 322 total points last year which means he played 23 total games, it sounds like he got injured for the season in February.
Is the glitch that no matter when a player gets a season ending injury he's eligible for a redshirt? That seems to be the case with DJ White in my legacy.
EDIT: Sorry, I saw SmallBerries post. I was wondering why White was playing so few minutes even though he started. I guess a simple solution for this is to turn off injuries which isn't a big deal for me.Last edited by ehh; 12-10-2007, 03:55 PM."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Quiz:
If I told you a game company created a basketball game where the AI didn't attempt steals, where injured stars were never inserted back into the lineups, where numerous teams stockpiled 5* talent so they were all rated in the high 90's, where there were few to none none-shooting fouls, where there was no risk in calling double teams in regards to fouls, where some sliders have no effect whatsoever; What game company would you imagine I'd be talking about?
I certainly would have never thought it was 2K.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment
