I've played every game and I'm two decades into my legacy. Of course, it's taken almost seven years in real time to get there.

Nice to see I am not the only one. I got the same file going since December 2010. I spent my first 10 seasons at Campbell for 5yrs and Houston for 5yrs, winning a title at both. I then spent 20 seasons at Michigan where I won 5, 4 in a row in my last 4 seasons there. I am now in my 4th season at Georgia where I own the NIT. The best part is I played ever minute without simming at all. I just pop the game in now and then and play some games. I need about 30mins per game on average so I can knock out a few here and there. I don't see a point in simming games, it is a video game intended to be played.
Relax, it's just a video game!

I'm big on stats and I like to know that I've played every single game. I also enjoy having realistic MPG stats, so I play 20-minute halves.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Finished my season with Winston-Salem St last night and the finish was a little disappointing. I ended up losing my last conference game of the year to Hampton, so I didn't end up going undefeated in conference. They seemed to hit everything in the second half and I couldn't do anything right. They ended up winning by 14 or 16 and put up 100 points. I then won the conference tournament to earn the 7th seed and play North Carolina. I accidentally simmed the tournament game and lost by like 30, with my leading scorer playing like 8 minutes and taking 0 shots. Since I hadn't saved in a couple games I went on to the off-season and was surprised. Mark Few left Gonzaga for Arizona, and I was offered the job in his place, which I took. This team has crazy height with Austin Daye as a 7 foot SF, Robert Sucre off the bench as a 7 foot center, and another center that is like a 58 overall, but is 7'5. Few had brought in a good freshman SG and a decent freshman PG, but his first recruiting class was horrific and contained a 48 overall PG. I cut most of those guys which left me with 11 players, one being a walk-on. I'm really looking forward to playing with this team because they have exactly what I look for in height and the ability to shoot the ball. I'm going to have a fun season.

In my 12th year, all at Sacramento State. Just played my closest conference game in a handful of years against Eastern Washington, but pulled it out. I've grown attached to the program, but getting quality recruits is tough (even though my team is 94 OVR) to get at Sac. St. and the fact that my arena seats 1,200 is kind of lame. I've said the past 5 years that I want to leave, but I keep coming back.

I'm now the head coach at Cal (2-year deal, first Major/Power conference to offer me though I was in the running for offers for the last four seasons) with a career record of 329-190. Here are my current accomplishments.

              3x Regular Season Champs
              4x Conference Tournament Champs
              5 NCAA Tournaments (1-5 Record)
              11 20-Win Seasons
7x Conference Coach of the Year (1 Summit, 6 WAC)

1 Player Drafted (Funny enough, named Stefan Novak)

A lot of coaches retired obviously, but what is hilarious is that Tubby Smith is not only still coaching, but became the first coach to 1,000 wins. He is at Texas Tech with a record of 1,257-530 along with a National Title under his belt.

I just won my second national title in 21 years, which is nice. Three Final Fours and three No. 1 seeds in a row, too.

I've almost always had a top 25 class and quite often top 10 as of late.

I've always wondered whether the school you coach at has any effect on recruiting. For example, is it tougher to recruit at WVU than it is at Duke or is it the same since both are in a power conference?

How do you recruit freshmen and sophomores? I remember not being able to call them, but maybe you can email them? I honestly haven't even looked in years (literally, since my dynasty is coming up on its seventh year in real time), so maybe I have been missing out. I'll have to take a look when I play the game next. I've always recruited juniors, though.

You can look at their tapes and alot of times just cause u showed that much interest they will put you on their list depending on your school and their wants.

That goes back to your question and i have the same.I want to say that schools that are already big time programs are easier to recruit at but i have noticed over time with wins and and tournament runs you can get more top recruits to say a school like Georgia in the SEC but for some reason i cant stay as consistent as i can at say a school like Duke,UNC Kentucky etc.

Started this legacy a few years ago after watching a Grinnell basketball game and wondering what it would be like if a team took their style a step further and attempted all of its shots from 3 point range. The goal was to build up-tempo, guard-heavy, full-court zone pressing teams with 11 or 12 legit shooters (80+ 3PT rating) all set with 100 3PT shot tendencies (and 0 for every other shot) and sub them in waves to keep them fresh (every 2-3 minutes). Early on the style worked well enough against poor teams but I always got punched out early in the tourney because my teams didn't have enough shooters or ballhandlers to beat anyone good. In my 4th season at Saint Mary's I had finally recruited well enough to go 12 deep and everything started clicking. I've won 215 games in a row with 5 national championships.

My Alma Mater (Winona State) actually played Grinnell several years ago. At that time Grinnell was routinely scoring 140+ points per game and we beat them. We ended up playing their tempo and scored 100+ on them, getting a large percentage off dunks in transition. We ended up holding them to under 80 points. An average team at their level would've gotten destroyed. They'd continually run down the court to take the first three pointer they could shoot. It was the most crazy offense I've ever seen! We ended up winning the DII national championship that year!

                          Coaching Profile

                          Offense: Motion
                          Defense: Man to Man

                          Offensive Tempo: 100
                          Def Pressure: 0
                          Fast Break: 100
                          Crash Boards: 100

                          Press: 1-2-1-1 Zone Press
                          Frequency: Always

                          Bench Depth: 12
That is awesome, makes me want to buy a PS3 or re-buy a 360 to play this again and do that as well.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Finished my second year at FAMU going 15-13 with a regular season MEAC title and a first-round MEAC tourney loss. Made my second consecutive NIT appearance.

I took the open Saint Mary's job in the offseason who fired its coach after going 5-25 with 25% attendance. Had 1 open scholly in my first offseason and signed the #2 JUCO recruit--an athletic gunner 5'11 163 PG--who came in as an 82. Best recruit I've ever gotten on this game but then again SMC is the first legitimate program I've coached.

My team is an 80 overall but it feels like a 1-man show with the JUCO transfer and a bunch of scrubs. He's averaging 24 a game and the second highest rated player is 2-18 after two games.

I lost my opener in a blowout @ Utah State and then lost by 4 in a score-was-closer-than-the-game matchup @ Colorado State. I host my FAMU Rattlers next who are tougher than usual with the recruiting I did there but it should still be my first win.

What's up, guys? I'm back into legacy mode with new strategies. I just started a new career legacy today as NC A&T. First year, get smacked in the first riubd of the NCAA Tourney. Next year, fail to advance, and move on to Davidson. Spend some decent time there, and it's in to Youngstown State. Hers where things started really progressing.

At YSU, I led my team to several NCAA Tourny bids, but we just couldn't get into the Sweet Sixteen. Finally my final year at YSU we go all the way to the Final Four, only to get best by Miami FL. From there, I took a major conference job at San Diego State. I forget how many years I'm in with them, but we've reached the Final Four against Baylor.

                                Recruiting priority #1: DEFENSE
                                Recruiting priority #2: ATHLETICISM
                                Offense: UCLA High Post
Man defense primary, 2-3 matchup zone secondary and pressure
Full court trap after made baskets
                                Tempo: 0
                                Pressure: 100
                                Fast break: 100
                                Crash boards: 0

                                Ten men on the roster....

The defenses had been flipped before (man where 2-3 matchups are and vice versa) with a 2-2-1 zone press after made baskets, but I changed it to what I have now after some scary games against IU and Arkansas in the Tourney. Hopefully I'll be updating you all tomorrow with a NC under my belt.
James Naismith visited an Indiana basketball state finals game along with 15,000 screaming fans and later wrote, that while it was invented in Massachusetts, "basketball really had its origin in Indiana, which remains the center of the sport."
