Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

I just beat UNC and Louisville but lost to Kentucky and Alabama with Liberty. How does that happen? I guess when Seth shoots like his brother did against Kansas. The Tar Heels game was incredible.

I was down by 8 with a minute left and chucked up a 3 and it went in and fouled Tyler Hansbrough and he missed the front end of a 1 and 1 I got the rebound and called a timeout. I chuck up another 3 and make it. With like 15 seconds left i foul them and the make one and miss the second so I dribble the clock out to about 3 seconds and drive to the 3 point line and get a guy to come behind me pass it to him and he throws it up and splashes. Like most games are when a team that should have lost in regulation makes it to overtime we were able to get a good 9 point lead. Then Wayne makes an NBA 3 as the buzzer expires and we win by six.

It was the best game I've ever played in any video game regardless of sport or level.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

after 4 season with Texas Southern, i finally moved on to another team. was hoping to get the Texas Tech job, but they didn't want me. I took Troy. i went 85-48 in my first 4 seasons. 3 regular season conference championships, 4 conference tournament champions. 4 trips to the NCAA tournament, but lost in round 1 in 3 of those years, the other, I lost in 2nd round. 3 20 wins seasons, 3-time conference coach of the year. 4 total all-conference players.

my coach rating is a B- overall right now. i didn't get any attribute points to add last season though.

It's a lot easier to play with Troy than it was with Texas Southern. the players are a lot better. lol

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

        Just got 2k8 for Christmas...

Using Norfolk St. and loving it.

10-2 going into a Conference Match-Up with Hampton. Should be a good game.

Managed to take Nebraska to OT and lose on a last second Layup with .7 left on the clock.

Looking forward to a solid competition for an NCAA Tourny birth. I am 152 in the RPI, so I will have to win the Conf. Tourny to get in, no question the MEAC is weak and I will have to take a new job as soon as I get an offer. lol

          12-6 Tie 4th Big 10

Lost in 1st Rd of Big 10 Tourney

Made the Elite 8 due to a few upsets in my bracket. Lost to eventual champion Alabama.

          Signed:

          C 6-10 220 4* Aron Morrissette Chicago #36 overall, #1 C came in at 80 ovr

SF 6-6 210 (now 6-7) 5* Carlos Phelps Nashville, TN - TN Mr. Basketball, #6 overall, #1 SF came in at 82 ovr (had UNC and DUKE on top of his list, but they offered elsewhere so I moved in late and snagged him...low potential (C+) so he will most likely stay in school.

          ILLINOIS SEASON 2:

          25-9 Ovr

          14-4 Tie 1st Big 10

          Big 10 Tourney Champs

Upset in 1st Round of NCAA by LaSalle after #3 scorer, Phelps, was injured 6 min in.

2nd Season in a row the SEC won the title as LSU won it this time around.

Morrissette was freshman all-american, all-conf and Big 10 Frosh of the Year

          Signed:

SF 6-7 220 4* Drew Gordon Dayton, OH #28 overall, #7 SF came in at 74 ovr w/ great potential, redshirted

SF 6-5 200 (now 6-6) 4* Junior Wood Chicago #71 overall, #13 SF came in at 75 ovr

SG 6-5 199 (now 6-6) 4* Chester Faulk LA, #76 overall, #25 SG, came in at 78 ovr (high 80's 3PT rating) w/ low potential

          PG 6-1 180 3* Pete Kisielius Lithuania, NR, WALK-ON 66 ovr Redshirted

          ILLINOIS SEASON 3:

          33-4 Ovr

          15-3 1st Big 10

          Big 10 Tourney Champs

#1 Overall Seed, lost to #4 seed Villanova in Sweet 16, 83-65

No SEC champ this time as Kentucky lost the title game to Gonzaga.

          Carlos Phelps was an all-american

          Signed:

          PG 6-0 173 4* Najeeb Tchuisi Phil, PA #27 overall, #10 PG

Had been going after the #3 ovr, #1 PG, L.L. Hehn who is now a 6-7 Sr. Was 2nd on his list and he signed to Texas. Had been after him since I spotted him going into his junior year. Thought I had a good shot since I only had one scholarship to use. Played the HS all-star game and he was rated 80 and his draft buzz said #1 pick. Could have been the final piece to the puzzle for us.
Back to playing this and Season 4 is still going strong, 19-0 after having a scare at Michigan State. One of the best games ever, won by a couple in 2 OTs after they hit a buzzer beater to tie it in regulation.

So far I've signed 3 of 5 possible scholarships. #1 C and #10 OVR Kevin Love-like center named Mikalauskas from Mississippi. He's like 6-9 and 275. Also signed another top 75 center and a top 50 PG so far.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Started a new year in my legacy and this will be one of the toughest years at UConn I have ever had. I just signed 2 breakout freshman. A PG rated 77 OVR who can post a threat for the arc. And a 84 OVR C who is averaging around 9 points a game in the first six games. The reason i say it will be the toughest is that i have NO bench help. My bench usually contributes just as many points as my starters but this season they are averaging only around 15 ppg. So when my starters are out my opponents usually go on a scoring run.

Started a new legacy with Seryn's 09 rosters...Went with Stetson since they have 4 seniors and I want to bring in some new players for 10-11. Like the rosters but it is a little distracting seeing Curry still leading the NCAA in scoring for Davidson.

So far, we're 4-1...got blown out by Rhode Island...toughed it out against UAB...

Next up Florida and the FSU...I predict I'm going to be 4-3 soon. My goal is to make it out to the west coast...probably gonna take 4 years.

I started a legacy with Sacramento State. I played the first 3 games of my first season and got violated by the computer. I simed the rest and ended up 7-19. I'm working on my second season. Had two heart breakers. One against the USC Trojans (which I should have won) and another one against UCLA. I've started Conf play and currently lead the Big Sky with a record of 4-5 (1-0). Can't wait to leave for a better team...

I also just recently started a legacy with Morehead St. using a 07-08 roster set as well as Cincyfan's MOP sliders. I'm currently 4-3 (1-1) and managed to play Houston and Oklahoma close but in the end both teams superior talent prevailed.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Just started playing this game again and started a whole new Career Legacy.

Year 1 and 2 took place at lowly old St. Francis, PA. I simmed season 1 and finished 13-17. Year 2 we were 23-10, winning the regular season and conference tournament. We lost in the first round of the Big Dance. I played some of my games still simmed most. Played all conference tourny games and NCAA tourny game.

Years 3-6 took place with the Troy Trojans.
                          Year 3 - 16-12
                          Year 4 - 20-11
Year 5 - 24-8 2nd Round NCAA, Conference Regular season and tourny champs
Year 6 - 29-5, Sweet Sixteen NCAA, Regular Season and Conference Tourny champs.
Again, I simmed most games and played all the NCAA and conference tournament games.

                          Years 7-10 St. Bonaventure Bonnies
Year 7 24-11 Sweet Sixteen, Conference Tournament Champs
Year 8 27-6 Sweet Sixteen, Regular Season champs
                          Year 9 23-8 Sweet Sixteen,
Year 10 30-5, Elite Eight, Regular Season Champs.
As always I simmed regular season games and played all post season games.

After 10 years I finally was offered my dream job at the University of Michigan. I actually turned Duke down to accept the Michigan job!

I am currently 5-0 on the season just upsetting #5 Vanderbilt.

I am playing all my games with no simming. I really hate simming but I just couldn't bear playing with teams I didn't like. I was hoping will I was at Troy or St. Bonaventure a team like Rhode Island or St. Joes would open up and then I would take it and play but they never did. Actually no one did until this year when WVU, Duke, Virginia, UConn, Auburn and Michigan all opened up.

I just started over with some new rosters for 08-09 seson. All coaches are named and roster are ok. I took the job at Elon because they have 4 freshmen that start for me. I'm losing only one starter and 2 bench players. I just finished year 1 and this is what happened.
I finished 27-8. I was second in the SOCON regular season. I made my run in the Conf. Tourment and got Davidson for the bid to the NCAA. They beat me down twice during the season so I was looking for more of the same. I switched to a 3-2 D and it slowed down the 3's. I won by 7 and got the bid. I drew a 12 seed and UK. The size of the Cats scared me but I got them in some foul trouble and won. Next up was Zona. They were just plain bad. I won big and moved on to the sweat 16 and UNC. They were a #1 seed. I played a good game but they just got me in the end. They went on to win it all.
                            Season Highlights:
1st team all-conf: RsF Center Watts (Led conf. in Reb's and Blocks per game)

I landed a PF (3*) that come in as a 70ovr and can shoot 15 footers. He was my prize. No other school wanted him. He is my second best player now behind a SF that is now a soph. I went after 2 Euro players that ended up not signing with any team. Not sure why they didn't take my offer. I did get a 2* PF/C that is now coming of my bench and is a beast downlow. He was 6'10" but when I started the season he is now 7'0". That gives me 2 7 footers.

                            Season 2:
I'm a few game in with a record of 6-2 with a huge win over Auburn. My 3* freshmen PF is leading my team in asst and 2nd in ppg. I have 4 guys avg. over 10 points per game. I have 6 scolys to offer and have made offers to 6 good players. All but 1 I have played with in the ABL. The 1 I have not played with is a Euro player but a 4* and has little intrest from his top schools. I'm the only offer he has. I don't think I will get him but if I do then it will be huge. It looks like me and Davidson will fight it out again for the SOCON.
Relax, it's just a video game!

Had been after him since I spotted him going into his junior year. Thought I had a good shot since I only had one scholarship to use. Played the HS all-star game and he was rated 80 and his draft buzz said #1 pick. Could have been the final piece to the puzzle for us.

Surprisingly, no one went pro early, but I lose 2 Sr guards that started and my top reserve. Guards will be very young.

                                Season 2 over:
                                -record of 28-8
-I (Elon) won the SOCON regular season title.
-Lost to Davidson in Conf. Champ. Game.
-Got a at-large bid to the dance (8th seed).
-Beat Bama in 1st round. I shot well and they had a bad game.
-Beat a depleted Duke (#1 seed) in second. They played 6 players all game. 15 turnovers for Duke.
-Lost in the sweet 16 again.
                                -Conf. Coach of the Year.
                                -One 1st team all-conf., Two 2nd team, & 2 all-freshmen team players
-Offered jobs at Fordham and Gonzaga among others.
-Took the Gonzaga job but have a back-up file that was saved before the season ended so I could go back.

I had said I would not leave unless it was a school in the ACC, Big East, Big 10, Big 12, Pac-10, or SEC but I could not pass up a team like the Zags. Part of me wants to go back and stay another year with Elon but my goal was to get the UGA job and it was open but I was not even on the list so I went with the best team that wanted me.
