Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Just finished Year 6 of my Legacy, my 3rd Year at North Texas. Went through the season 26-3, and 18-0 in the Sun Belt, which was my main goal, to finish the conference season undefeated. However, lost in the first game of the Conference tournament to Arkansas State 80-64.
Still managed to get a 4 seed for the Big Dance, and beat 13 seed Boston U handily 70-52 in 1st Round. Up next was #5 seed Pitt. We led early, but they went on a run late in the 1st half to go up 5 at Halftime. Tried to keep it close but they were deadly from 3pt range. 13-17 3pters. And they pulled away and we never could make enough stops to get the momentum back. They outscored us in the 2nd half 58-49, and won 93-79 to advance to Sweet 16.
In the Final Four it was #1 UNC vs #2 Texas & #3 Florida vs #1 Nevada.
UNC d. Texas 105-76
Nevada d. Florida 78-74
In the National Title game UNC defeated Nevada 98-96 to take the National Championship.
Now I must prepare for losing 3 of my starters and 5 seniors overall.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Just picked mine back up for the first time in quite some time. I think I thought my game was scratched or something because I stopped playing it when I got to the end of a game and it locked up. I was displeased. Inspired by all the Madness, decided to see if ti would work. It did.
2-2 at Centenary (third season). I have the second best overall rating in the Summit League after Oakland.
I played two games tonight and split them. Got blown out at Tulane, but came back from 15 down at half to win by double digits at North Texas.
In my Legacy, I don't usually play all the games as I don't have tons of time and like to get through the seasons. I play all tournament games, of course, but I like to play all conference home games the first season (simming the rest), all conference road games the second, and then just the non-conference games the third. Last time I did it, I hadn't recruited well enough and got fired, which is why I'm only in my third year on this one.
Kansas State is up next. I'm certain I'm going to get trashed. Oh well."There's nothing more embarrassing than to have earned the disfavor of a perceptive animal." - Michael ChabonComment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Haven't played in ages since my PS3 was stolen about 8 months ago and lost my career legacy which I was in 6th season. Re-started now with 09-10 rosters. With VMI.
Deadly 3pt team, playing on MOP currently 2-0, both wins in a tournament @ start of season. Just wacking 3 constantly as these teams play zone a lot of time.
Looking forward to getting to tourney time with VMI before this weekend.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I just finished a legacy with Northern Colorado. I stayed at Northern Colorado for all 40 years. I didnt play any of my games. We played a style similar to Mizzou press the whole game and run and gun on offense. My teams averaged about 90+ppg every year. My first season I went 19-13 and that was my worst record I had in my 40 years. My Career record was 1057-291 (.784) 30 regular season conference titles 21 conference titles 26 NCAA bids 1 NCAA National Championship. 39 20 wins seasons, 35 conference coach of the year.Comment

That's interesting. I'm currently actually at Northern Colorado as well, in my 3rd season. I love it.
Did you recruit and just sim the games or how did you do it? What happens at the end of the 40 year time period?

Do you have your year by year records available as well as tourney finishes? Also did you straight sim or use Hoopcast?Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I guess I will update my Northern Colorado legacy...
Season 1 : 16-9 [1st round exit in NCAA tourney]
Season 2 : 26-7 [1st round exit in NCAA tourney]
Season 3 (most successful season yet) : 26-5(16-0 in Big Sky)
Season 3 was more than I could have asked for. I got a 6 seed going into the NCAA tourney, beat Clemson in the first round by 20-25, can't remember. Then in the 2nd round I blew out #3 seed Nebraska. I forgot who I played against in the sweet 16, but I won..advancing to the Elite 8. My toughest matchup was in the Elite 8 as I had #1 seed UNC. I beat them on a buzzer beater, to advance me to the Final 4, where I would face Kansas. I got out to an early 6 point lead and I kept it for most of the game. With about 2 minutes left, Kansas took a 3 point lead, but JR Eliot Lloyd came up huge and nailed a 3 to tie it with 12 seconds left in the game. Kansas would wait for the last shot, and missed it. OVERTIME! My team came out on fire and we eventually won the Final 4 game to advance to the National Championship game to take on #2 Texas. I played Texas earlier in the year, and got absolutely embarrassed and lost by 30+. The National Championship game wasn't as embarrassing, but I still lost. Texas won the title.
So now, I'm in my 4th year. My two favorite players that I've played with since I took over Northern Colorado (Mike Proctor & Eliot Lloyd) are now seniors and this is the best team I have had yet with Northern Colorado. Depending on how we finish this year, I want to look on to a power conference or something more challenging than the Big Sky.
Coach Falls
69-21; Age 35
Overall : B
Off : A-
Def : B
Teaching : C+

I can't wait to see how my 4th year goes with this team. I have high hopes and I scheduled a lot of tough match-ups in my non-conference schedule. (Baylor, Xavier, Arizona St., Memphis, UNLV, Cal)
I'm hoping I can go undefeated in the Big Sky and extend my 16-0 win streak in the Big Sky conference.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I just started mine with VMI.... and they are absolutely deadly from 3 point range. When opposing teams are in a 2-3, I can light it up like you wouldn't believe. An incredibly fun team to play with, since it's extremely easy to play fast pace and get off quick shots with this squad.Comment

I started with VMI in 2K7 when I was between jobs and had a LOT of free time on my hands. Probably the easiest start to a career legacy I've ever had. Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Despite having had a few beers before I was able to get to play last night, I decided I could compete.
Mostly true.
I hung with Kansas State for most of the game before Bill Walker decided to make a personal statement on what he thought of Centenary. Ultimately ended up losing by 22.
Returned home to face Stephen F. Austin, who was close enough in rating to give me hopes of winning easily. Started off a struggle, but eventually, they could not solve the 2-3 Match-up zone and I did win by double digits.
Then, inexplicably, Colorado came to town. (Oddly, there is a story about Texas Tech and Bob Knight losing a road game at Centenary a few years ago, so I guess it's not unreasonable for a Big 12 team to visit.). The Buffalo bigs were absolute beasts. I got run out of my own gym.
Despite it being late at night and having already played three games, I wanted to get to some conference games (which I'm simming this season) and through the early signing period. So, one more game at La Tech, which I was afraid I'd lose big.
Down 7 with under two minutes left and not even using the press, my senior SG Jamere King hits a 3 to tie the game with 12 seconds left. The Bulldog PG commits a backcourt violation after a throw-in (they'd called time out and were inbounding at mid-court (but in front of the table?).
Anyhow, in OT, King drills back-to-back 3's to help pull away a bit. LaTech makes a comeback and has a chance to win with a bucket on a final shot, but they never got a great look and missed a contested jumper. It was a blast!
Went 1-1 in the simmed conference games (L to South Dakota State, W over Oral Roberts) so Centenary is now 4-4 overall and smack dab in the middle of the Summit League with a busy week of non-conference games coming up before launching head-first into the remainder of conference action.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Fired again after first-round exit in conference tourney, despite finishing third! Progress too slow I guess. Was a pretty decent squad with 8 of 9 regular rotation players returning. Would have been a good bet for following season. Three seasons seems to be the limit.
