Man, I wanted to cry last night. I was down all game as NoColorado to Idaho St. At one point it was at least 13 down. I started working back, giving Archibeque the ball, getting it inside and playing good defense. Eventually I started hitting free throws and cut it to 1. They came down, missed free throws, I got the ball with 13 seconds left. I took it up court, called a time out. On the inbound I worked it around a little, tried to get it into Archibeque in the middle, had the ball a second, 3 seconds call!!! I almost threw the controller through my tv.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Well I finally got my sliders dialed in and my stick skills to the point where I started up my dynasty last night. I won my season opener to New Mexico State at home. The score was something around 83-61 or close to that. It was close for a while in the first half but then I gained momentum and the combo of Singer and Nelson carried me home.
Anyone else here using Duke? I find that Singer has about the slowest release on a jumper known to man. His guy can be in the freaking in the key when I start my shot from behind the arc and it is a toss up as to whether or not I get it blocked.
On a side note, I have offered the #1 SG, #1 PF, #2 PF in the nation scholarships. I only lose Nelson next year so I am hoping to get the SG and one of the 2 PFs. If I get that my team will be better next year and they are pretty good this year. Losing Nelson though will be a significant blow. He is the only shooter on my team that also has speed, moves and good defender. I guess that is why he has the star on his feetGO DUKIES!!!!

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I've been playing a legacy with NC A&T. I started off 1-5, with my team averaging about 49 pts through the first 4 games. Terrible shooting, no leadership, and just all-around bad play. Since then though, I've went on a remarkable run, beating Akron (68-64), Miami (73-72) and most recently #15 Washington State (65-62). My 5'11, SR SG #1 Steven Rush has been a BEAST in my last 5 games, averaging over 30+ ppg. He has been so clutch lately, hitting so many tough shots, fadeaways, buzzer beaters, etc. He has really carried my team. Getting ready to start conference play tonight and at 4-5 in non-conference after some hellacious matchups (Tennesse, DePaul, Missouri, Miami, Washington St.) I really feel good that my team will win a lot of games in conference play.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I am at 7-7 with St. Francis(NY) with every game being close. i lost my starting SF for 2 weeks(strained quad) and the guy filling in has been a rebounding machine. Scoring is difficult (54.9ppg) as my inside game is being countered often with size and great outside shooting(against me). Its going to be tough trying to get into the NCAA tournament with every team i play rated 5-10 points higher than me and having better talent. Recruiting is going well, with my 7'0, 239lb C(**) and my 6'6" SF(***) from the same ABL team signing on together at St. Francis. I hope that my SG, PG and PF recruits will follow suit as my SG and PG recruits are foreigners, and will prove tough to persuade without actually visiting them.
Any way I put it, I will be adding size to my team. I am tired of being out rebounded...hehe.Currently playing:

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Playing as Northern Colorado, I cut a 15 point deficit to 4 vs. Iowa but couldn't get over the hump, and lost 65-58. They had a PG. who was getting to the rim at will in the first half. The coaching tips at half-time said to back off #11 because he's killing us on the drive, lol.
I didn't want to give him too much space, because he had pretty good ratings for his mid range and 3-ball game, but I really didn't have choice because none of my guards could stay in front of him. The strategy worked, as I backed way off him and gave him the J. Luckily he was off and missed all six of his jumpers in the second half. That was what allowed me to get back in the game.
The last game I played was demoralizing, I played a Denver squad, at home, who is rated the same as me, and I got pounded by 22, I shot 32% and was never in the game. The fans were booing us during the last 3 minutes of the game.
I'm 1-3 and I've got to get some scoring from my PG's. There are 5 of them on the roster, and all of them are caretakers, none of them can shoot a lick. I would start my back up 2, who's really a combo guard, but then I would have no perimeter scoring off the bench.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Well I played my next 2 games at lunch taking my Blue Devils to 3-0. I beat Princeton 77 - 53 and I squeaked by Arizona St. 77-74. Since I play with real foul shot % ON its very nice to have a 90+ FT on the team. I think that will be crucial to have every year even if his only purpose is to come in late in games when the CPU starts intentionally fouling.
I pretty much go as my 3 point shooters go. As long as someone has a hot hand I do alright but as soon as everyone goes cold I really struggle.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Well I lied. After reading through the sliders thread I have gone back and made a couple of small changes to my sliders. I never even thought about the speed rating and just assumed that they were of equal speed on AC. I had played 7 games in my Duke dynasty and was 6-1 getting beat handily by LSU in the tourney championship. Now that I have changed my sliders and been through the first part of recruiting and understand what is going on I think I am going to start the process over again and possibly with a different team. Since learning how to actually drive to the bucket RT + B, I have begun to enjoy playing with athletic players a LOT more. I am going to play games first with Louisville, Georgetown, and Ohio State to see if their type of athletes bring a more enjoyable game. I love hitting 3's with Duke but when they go dry the game is EXTREMELY frustrating for me. I would rather run and gun more and then kick it for open 3's versus looking for 3's first.
FYI: changing a players shooting animation can really help out with the issue of getting blocked too much by the computer on the perimeter. Anyone else here who plays with Duke and Singer knows what I am talking about. I have time to get up and eat a bowl of soup waiting for his jump shot to hit the top of the animation and he gets blocked by guys 10+ feet away from him. After giving him a more athletic jumper (similar to Scheyer) he is much more user friendly outside.
So as of now my team options are OSU, Duke, Georgetown, Louisville, Michigan and Purdue. Anyone have any input into this with any particular reasons? Here is a quick rundown of my personal reasons even though most are stupid.
OSU: I am a huge big 10 fan and they might be only team I go watch in person this year.
Duke: I have liked them since I was a kid and love the program and coach.
Georgetown: Love their personnel this year and this would be the type of team I would try to recruit. Also love the chant "Let's go Hoyas" clap-clap-double clap-clap LOL
Louisville: Love the coach and style of ball they play there for real. Also like the team make-up. Very similar to Georgetown with good mixture of athletes and shooters couple with big men.
Michigan: Favorite football team and was fan during fab 5 stuff.
Purdue: Graduated from this school but their utter lack of talent makes it hard to enjoy playing with them at all.
Suggestions? I know most of my reasons are probably stupid to most of you but that is not the point..... that is the rationale I use when picking a team to play a video game. After all it's fun first and foremost and rebuilding a team that can do nothing just isn't fun for me.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Started out elon made the final four my 4th yr. Thanks to this 5* kid I recrutied from a freshman in hs. Than. He left after one yr and I booked it to gonzaga stayed there for 3 years made the championship game in yr 3. Than I was offered the Syracuse job currently in my 1st yr. This team have way to many Pgs and no bigs. So I been on full go on the top2 centers in the nation who also both happen to be top 10 in the nation . I landed one and I'm 2nd on the others list.NFL:New York Jets
NBA:LA Lakers
NCAA:Notre Dame
MLB: New York YankeesComment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Thats the isomotion control to drive to the bucket. RT + B while pressing the left trigger towards the rim.
As far as my legacy is going, things are really looking up for me. My NC A&T squad is now 6-5 opening with two straight conferences wins. Steven Rush has been a hoss, scoring 30+ in 6 of the last 7. The best part though, is that I am starting to see my other players develop. My 61 ovr JR SF, Ed Jones is very athletic and at 6'7 220+, he is becoming a monster on the fastbreak, attacking the rim with ferocity. I have a freshman PF, Kam Shephard who is just an athletic, high energy guy, who seems to never get tired. He is the only player on my team who is getting blocks consistently.
While my offense is good, my defense has been very poor. We have an F in defensive efficiency, something like 300th in the nation. Not very good. Gonna have to that tighten up a bit, but because my team is a pressing/trapping/fastbreaking squad, I expect to give up some points. My D tends to give up buckets when my offense is scoring, but when my O is struggling, it seems like the D always steps it up. It's comforting that at least they pick the right times to play horribly.
I can see my team doing very well in conference play. Both of my games so far in conference have been tough and I have trailed at the half in both, but have found ways to pull both of them out at home. Nobody on my conference schedule frightens me really. At 6-5 (3-0), so far so good.Last edited by the_future420; 12-05-2007, 11:37 AM.Comment
