NOTE ON EFFECT OF PLAYER EDITS
I ended up with Freshman Lottery Picks on one team. Although this team lost twice, most games are decided in the first half. It appears to be related to defense...opposing teams just cannot score with any consistency.
This is a first-time occurrence for me. It has a lot to do with the fact that (by ratings) this is the best team to ever play in my legacy (Starters are OVR 99, 97, 91, 88, 84). I have not seen a team this highly rated.
My present solution is to reduce my edits to Defensive Awareness to One-and-dones. After testing, putting these guys in the 80s is good enough to keep their overall above 95. This helps gameplay.
Next, I am looking at the impact of Team Unity. Originally, I wanted this to reward Senior-laden teams but it looks like most good teams have high Unity by any season's end anyway, so I think the separation between elite teams and good teams may be inflated. Frankly, it is hard to judge the impact of this slider game to game.Comment

No problem. One of my favorite games of all time. I am playing right now.
My only issue is I have never found a way to emphasize post play but keep the dribble-drive and organic feel of the current slider set. Previous slider sets were much better for shot distribution stats, but did not have the look and feel of college basketball. For the most part, these sliders provide fun, engaging games to watch and manage.
I may give it one more shot after the holidays. If it can be done, I think the answer will lie in the Off and Def Awareness settings, then court spacing. In any slider set, once those issues are pinned down, the rest is just fine tuning stats.
In any case, I am almost 30 seasons into this set with very minor tweaks. I hope everyone enjoys them as I have.Comment

These are already an improvement. I will implement these in my main dynasty very soon.
Centers who should be the focal point of the offense definitely are. It's remarkable, especially because it took only a few games of testing to get to this point. For you testers out there, I started testing CLOSE and MID tendencies at '0' and '100' and '50' and tweaked from there.
Gameplay remained organic; plus, the interior defense is more interactive, leading to more contested shots inside 12 feet.
Other Issues that remain:
PFs are still not active enough offensively.
SFs are still slightly too involved offensively.
Dribble penetration is reduced from V3.0 - this may be an acceptable trade, as I have not had a good chance to test these changes with a good score-first PG. The issue with high DRIVE settings is that a slashing guard will hold the ball for half of the shot clock trying to take guys off the dribble, which significantly reduces touches to the post because those touches mostly occur through the offensive set. I would rather have tendencies play more of a role in shot distribution.Comment

Obviously, from the changes, I am tuning the tendencies and FG% numbers. I am looking at Help D and recovery to try and make the numbers a little more consistent, but the stats are lined up and play looks very good.
I am happy to have this set about ready to go in advance of the conference games (end of football bowl games) which I imagine is where most everyone plugs CH2K back in.Comment
